Arrowhead Adventures…Chiefs vs Denver

Mind numbingly boring photo of the half time festivities.

Half Time Festivities

If you didn’t shell out over a hundred bucks to see yesterdays game like I did, well honestly I feel sorry for you. You missed quite a bit for your money. Had you been with me, you would have enjoyed watching the game among some of the rattiest dressed team fans in the NFL, the Denver crowd. Denver fans are also some of the most thrifty! They don’t bother to spend the money for a lower level seat, they buy the cheapest ticket available, and move about in the lower sections, randomly choosing vantage points until the rightful ticket holder sends them packing. The Chiefs wore their throwbacks! Denver apparently forgot theirs. I don’t blame ‘em actually, the socks that go with the most tasteless uniforms in the history of the NFL must require bulky dry cell batteries. Denver jerseys are apparently handed down from generation to generation. One lucky inheritor wearing a Jake Plummer that one could easily imagine being snatched at the last second from a hamper, waved a sign proclaiming Bronco superiority on the field, but demonstrating the average Bronco fans lack of ability to spell. One Denver fan wearing a very plain blue windbreaker was inebriated to the point that he could not find his seat, and was politely escorted to one in a much warmer area by stadium security, throwing up about every other step. What can you, the loyal member of Arrowhead Addict gather from this commentary? Its simple. Denver stomped a mudhole in our butts. In our house. And it was embarrassing. Denver , coming back from an off-season that had resulted in the loss of their franchise QB, as well as an NFL legend of a head coach, came out of the gates and showed the league what Lenny “The Cool” Dawson tells us every game he broadcasts. Rebuilding and losing do not have to go hand in hand.  So I must tip my hat to our rivals from the Rockies. Oh well, once again the BBQ at LC’s was fantastic and I got a chance to catch up with my old high school buddy Kent Ogle. It was fantastic to see DT’s number retired by the team. As for next week, well my attendance honestly at this point depends on if my tickets sell on Stub Hub or not. I shall keep you updated. One thought . Is it possible that our QB is better than last year but overall our team performance is worse? Sure seems like it to me.

[...] fans are ”some of the rattiest dressed team fans in the NFL”? I think [...]

I'm going to give my feelings about the Steeler game another week I guess and see how they fair against Cleveland. If they lose that game too . . .

Hey Woody! DD I dont know, we beat the Steelers first, then Oakland knew they could be beat, so its still quite a thing that we won the Steelers game in my opinion.

Thanks Randy.

I also was there yesterday. Had a pretty good gameday. Pretty horrible game itself.

I definitely cried at halftime...

For one thing, I think the fact that Oakland beat Pittsburgh yesterday pretty much took most of the luster off that win a couple weeks back.
