After talking with the Chiefs version of Colquitt in the locker room yesterday, it sounded like his younger brother Britton was signed off Miami’s practice squad for future consideration rather than immediate help.
“Right now he said they’re just getting him on the active roster for next year,” Dustin Colquitt said. “I don’t know if he is going to punt this week or not. I know that they brought him up from Miami’s practice squad so they can have him for next season.“

The Morning Fix
Hey, lay off. I’m on vacation. =)
Here is your Morning Afternoon Fix
As we look backward with the advantage of hindsight, one thing becomes crystal clear: it’s not a pretty picture. The last 10 years were not very successful and years from now Chiefs fans will have only a hazy recall of most of the decade’s 162 games.
New Years Eve Cup O Chiefs-Bob Gretz.com
Wow it’s nice to have Adam tossing out a post. Nothing seems to get me working on a quick article faster. Today, it was Adam’s throwaway comment labeling Haley “somewhat of an offensive mastermind”. Now, I grant you, Haley did come to KC with a reputation for running high powered offenses. Critics pointed to Haley’s thin resume. At the end of the 2008 season, Haley had called plays for a whole year and a half. However, his 2008 Cardinals team were prolific. Having Kurt Warner, Fitz and, Boldin does help a lot.
So, Todd Haley becomes the head coach of the Chiefs. [...]
The Chiefs entered the 2008 season with a string of 141 consecutive sellouts at Arrowhead Stadium. We won an incredible 100 of those games, a winning percentage of 71%!!!!
Its just been a couple of bad seasons folks. Better times are on the way, and soon!
Its pretty bad right now isn’t it folks? Well something that works very well for me when I’m fighting the losing season blues is a little diversion. That being said, I thought I’d post a little Chiefs trivia and see what kind of trivia heads we have in the AA family. I’ll post the answer tomorrow unless one of the staffers can’t help themselves and beats me to the punch. Here it is:
What was historically unique about the 2003 AFC divisional playoff game between the Chiefs and the Colts (a game in which the Colts won 38-31)?
Q & A With Coach Haley
HALEY: “Again, it comes down to wins and losses. I know it’s gets old when you say we’re making progress, but I’m the one out there and I’m the one that sees them. We just lined up today in the 16th week of the season and ran gassers and they’re running hard and they practiced hard today, they’re communicating, they’re here on time regardless of the weather conditions and working together to do the things necessary to be a good team. That’s progress from the inside.”

As noted earlier, I’ll still be chiming in every now and then offering my thoughts on the Chiefs. So, I wanted to stop by and offer up a thought I had on the offensive coordinator situation. Let’s call this a Mini-Blueprint.
Here’s what I’m thinking:
1. Todd Haley, somewhat of an offensive mastermind himself, has too big of an ego to hand over the keys of the offense to just anybody (By the way, ego is a necessity for head coaches in the NFL.). But even he suggests that an ideal situation would allow him to focus on his head coaching duties.
2. [...]
Rumble In The Jungle? Seriously?
Laugh at the Bengals with AA. Sure, we lost to them but hopefully this ridiculous video will help take the sting out a little. Thanks to Josh Looney for the tip.
