I close my eyes and I see Jovan Belcher make a huge stop on 3rd down in OT. The way he and the rest of the defense swarm to the ball shutting down the Steelers moves me as a Chiefs fan. For some reason its all I see when I think of this win. My slice of joy. Sound off....whats your slice?

I know its a dream draft. Always fun to dream tho! And I am onboard 102's bus for picking up Merriman. I never thought I'd say it because I've hated the guy.

But his value is down, he still has a lot of upside because he's young, he's intense, and the thought of Merriman, Hali, AND Brandon Spikes together?! Yeah, I just crapped my pants too. Fun to think about right?

Quick, inexpensive ways, for the most part, to fix our OL, provide depth at LB, and add some strong talent on both sides of the ball, giving us an opportunity to build onto the strengths we have thru the draft, is what I'm looking for.

Tait, Waters, and Weigman won't be around much longer, but they'll provide experience and inexpense. And with McNeill, Albert, and Fox as our new young core, we could build around them for years. Same could be said of Hali, Merriman, and Spikes. Think about it, I know I do.

In FA this offseason there's some interesting prospects that stood out, namely Casey Weigman and John Tait. I know, old. BUT! Paired with Marcus McNeill (who we SHOULD spend the money on and snatch away from SD), Albert, Waters, and draft Jason Fox from Miami, we'd have a heck of a line. McNeill being the big expense.

In addition, if we land the 7th overall, the 49ers have both the 13 and 14th pick, so a trade down for their 14th and 2nd rounder for our 1st and a 5th could give us Terrance Cody (hopefully), and 3 2nd rounders for which I'd love to see us use on Jason Fox, Arrelious Benn, and somehow, someway, Brandon Spikes.
