The only thing I’ve got to add to this is that it is news to me that the NFL policy apparently includes a “minimum consumption requirement” on PEDs. In light of Bowe’s low level of performance this season, no other explanation makes sense.

  2. 2. Randy5k Says:

Well his mistake was he isnt a Viking. He would still be playing if he was. Good scoop DD.

  3. 3. BOWEFAN Says:

I know we have Chambers now but I think this realy effing sucks!!!!

  4. 4. macdawg Says:

this sucks, even with him the offense is having such a hard time, we need him & Castle to be on the same page and need to get as many positive things going as we can so this year isn’t squandered. I’m cringing at the though of playing Pitsburgh, SD, Denver, then Buffalo without DBowe.

On the positive side, I was thrilled with the performance of Jamal Charles against the Raiders and I really want us to use him every week and use him wisely to keep him healthy, if we can do that I expect a lot out of him. Also, without DBowe on the field lets hope Castle and this offense can get some chemistry going with Chambers and Wade, again so these next 4 games aren’t squandered. JMO

I was waiting to hear BOWEFAN’s position on this.

When it rains it poors! I can only hope that his appeal is successful and that Chambers, Long, Bradley, & Charles can make up the diff. Either way we have a very tough next 3 weeks ahead of us and sorry to say, but Bowe may not make that big of a difference anyway. I love him and he has looked great but, “WTF Dbowe”. Now as Chiefs, we are going to be recognized as team of misfits(LJ) instead of a team of honor. Oh well, at least we know this year is a write off!

    DD,

Why does the tone of this post seem like you are HAPPY to hear this crap?? Guess we will be releasing him soon…….wait, he gets 4 more chances, right? LJ did!

  8. 8. Randy5k Says:

Its a sad sad time in Chiefs history a real low point.

  9. 9. tim Says:

Now everyone can see why LJ was so good over the last couple of years. Now with Bowe gone, we are going back to facing the 8 man box again. Hahaha. We will see how good charles really is when hes facing that. Larry was great at fighting for the yards and always getting positives out of nothing. Lets see how charles adjusts to having line backers tackling him in the backfield.

I’m no Haley hater – yet – but i saw a story on ESPN tonight that said Bowe’s violation came as the result of a diuretic he took trying to make weight at the beginning of the season.

Does Haley’s off-season conditioning program folder some of the blame for this suspension?

  11. 11. Randy5k Says:

Im no Haley hater YET either but ……

  12. 12. Double D Says:

    Vrod,

Not sure where you’re getting the “HAPPY” tone from my post? Try a mixture of disgust and sarcasm instead.

  13. 13. Vrod74-MikeSD Says:

    DD,

Whew!!! I was getting scared for a moment. If this is because of a diaretic to make Haley’s wait, the CHIEFS FRONT OFFICE should be fighting this for Bowe. Not the damn players association. How is it the 2 Williams boys get to play while they appeal, but DBowe doesn’t, can anyone explain that one to me?????

  14. 14. Double D Says:

    matthill,

Sorry, I do not share your view that Bowe might be some kind of victim of Haley’s conditioning program. The only way I could see Haley taking any blame here is if instructed a trainer to inject something into Bowe that Bowe didn’t know about. Not very likely.

Maybe I don’t understand the process involved but the one thing that really strikes me as odd about this story is if Bowe was using a PED during the off-season, how is it possible that all this is just now coming down? Don’t the Chiefs regularly do their own internal testing? Wouldn’t they have discovered this violation a long time ago and if so, wouldn’t they be obligated to immediately disclose their findings to the league?

  15. 15. fourcornerschiefsfan Says:

Mr. Hunt,Sr. has to be sad. The Chiefs have a coach that humiliates and cusses out the players, we’ve run previous stars away with no appreciation for giving us their committed years, and the current push doesn’t look positive (D Bowe suspended for drugs). Haley, you can have your superbowl somewhere else. Since you’re losing anyway, life long Chiefs fans would rather lose united with a stable coach.

  16. 16. chiefdom Says:

Im telling you right now, it isnt a diuretic from preseason conditioning. Whether he used them then or not, tbey are LONG flushed out of his system at this point. The way they test, it could be something as innocent as an herbal supplement he got at the store or a gram of testosterone…Either way, he gets paid a lot of money to know what he is putting in his body and what is on the banned list. Im as disappointed as anyone, but they have to be smart. Its no secret most guys are on something, but they have got to know when to “test” clean…The next four weeks are going to be rough. Even if he wasnt overproducing, he still drew the D’s best covermen, leaving openings for the other guys.

For those of you wondering, there is a Minnesota Law in their workers rights that is still allowing the pats to play.
