Nice call on Long shane.smith, the guy looked great out there. Made a mistake not getting out of bounds but I like his upside.

102,
I don't know much about Von Miller, but I totally agree with the rest, especially O'Dowd! And you're dead on about Berry, the guy is a beast! I like your FA's too. Still like the Ryan Pickett idea, but what are the chances Pioli tries to go after Logan Mankins or Richard Seymore, you know where they're from...

The FA's along the front 7 this year are DEEP, we could go after some real talent, wouldn't mind seeing a solid CB signed (Ellis Hobbs has my vote, expensive but again, you know where he's from). McNeill should be a top priority tho if he doesn't resign with SD.

1. No. Terrible coaching cost us the game and the season. Jamaal Charles averaged 6 yards a carry but was only given the ball 6 times. What gives?

2. I think it's very likely. It would be a little surprising to see a a player like Larry, who has been hyper-productive in the past, not get picked up by SOMEONE. Then again, Shaun Alexander is still looking for work.

3. Absolutely. LJ hasn't been anything for defenses to be scared of for a couple years now, and he causes more problems for the team than he does good.

I said that same thing a couple weeks ago Quazzimotto, Lance Long could easily be the next Wes Welker. He practically got knocked out against the Chargers and wanted to finish the game but the Docs said no. He has great hands and decent speed. I like him so far!!

We won't miss LJ. We have to make some serious moves this off season. I still say we should sign LT McNeill, LB Morrison and WR Steve Breaston. We need to send our three fifths and a third next year to NE for their 2nd #60, then we draft:
R1 # 4 S Eric Berry-Tennessee
R2 # 36 LB Von Miller-Texas A&M
R2 # 51 OT Sam Young-Notre Dame
R2 # 60 C Kris O'Dowd-USC
R3 # 68 SS Barry Church-Toledo
R4 #100 TE Aaron Hernandez-Florida

I would be interested to know what the Chiefs front office thought about the online petition, if that had any bearing on their release. Nearly 37,000 signatures is about half a stadium. Hearing that LJ's agent was going to be looking at the NFLPA for help if LJ didn't start was probably a strong arm tactic from a weak position, but thats a moot point if they just say, "see ya!".

With Portis injured the Redskins might give him a look, Dan Snyder is an idiot anyway, so why not? But I don't see Kubiak sniffing around for LJ. LJ is no Pollard.

I listened to the game on the Fox and heard them call Vrabel's name several times chasing Garrard. He never caught him. Our DBs seem to always be out of position, taking bad angles, missing tackles, and generally getting run over.

How is it that Keith Brooking was available and we didn't get him? With all these other waiver wire/released guys we found how is it he didn't get a look? He had a real good game last night against the Eagles.

Chris Chambers couldn't make it as a fourth reciever on the Chargers and within a couple of days comes in and makes the rest of our recieving crew look like walk ons for Valparasio. Are the "right 53" on other teams just waiting to be cut and picked up by the Chiefs?

Great day for Chief's nation, finally a bright spot. Sad it took until the middle of the season.

shane.smith,

Agree 100% with you, Pendersnap sucked in AZ and he still sucks today. He's miles ahead of Gary Gibbs (who we also have, crazy), but he's god awful and needs to get the boot.

How about Lance Long? He looked like Welker a little yesterday, kinda excited to see him play some more.

Clancy needs to go as well! I find it frustrating as hell each week to see a teams #1 reciever wide open multiple times during a game. WTF???? Sims-Walker has been there best guy all year and yet we leave him so he may boost his stats. Same damn thing every time we play against a team with a decent tight end. We always seam to leave plenty of room right in the middle of the field for the opposing TE to make a nice easy catch with at least 10-20 yards of running room after the catch. Sorry, but 3-4 or not, Clancy game planning SUCKS!!!!

Toma, Whirl

Yes the D-line did play well, And the D-backs weren't really bad except for Brown. I have been waiting to make a judgement on him because of all of the emotion over Pollard. Well the Jury is in, he has to go !!! every big play on Sunday went right at Brown. Others handled their part and yes the Jags gained yards, but all of the big plays involved Brown being way out of position, blowing an assignment, or failing to tackle. Not even the excuse of being sent on a Blitz like the last couple of games. he is just apparently confused. Time to convert one of our corners to safety or something. Looking forward to the draft Berry or Mays will fix this immediately.

All that said I think Clancy P. has to go too, this is getting ridiculous.
