The true problem is the firing of chan Galy regulated KC Chiefs to a losing seasons. As pointed out today by the TV announcers the Offense had more practices with Chan’s offense 50 + compared to 40 some 7 weeks into the season. So here we are 1-7 because Haley changed the offense 10 days before the start of the season. Which means he probably doesn’t have the players he needs to run the new offense..i.e. the reason why Pioli is “dumpster diving” NFL style and picking players up off waivers.

I wonder if KC is still number 1 in PUnting. But given that Winners, don’t punt.

I don’t agree with everything Whitlock said in this article (frankly, I never do) but I some of what he said seemingly plucked the thoughts right out of my brain.

Haley is an idiot. He’s an arrogant prick who has been trying to act like a hardass since day one. He reminds me Eric Mangini, only WORSE.

Think about it:

Haley comes in, trades Tony Gonzalez — our BEST PLAYER.

Haley and Pioli belittle and disrespect Pro Bowl RG Brian Waters — our BEST LINEMAN — when apparently all Waters was trying to do was meet with the new regime and get a feel for the team’s new direction. By the way, I feel that Waters had every right to meet with Pioli and Haley. He’s been a Chief longer than any current player on the roster.

Haley continues to start LJ, who has been performing abysmally, and promptly suspends him when he has the balls to call Haley out on his crap.

Haley trades away Bernard Pollard, part of our secondary, which was the sole strong point of last year’s team.

Haley hands out a pink slip to Chan Gailey, the lone bright spot of last year’s coaching staff.

The team is horrible, the roster is horrible, the coachin is horrible. Our only win is against the freakin’ Redskins, and it was an ugly win. Haley needs to be taken down a couple pegs and go back to coaching receivers. He’s not head coach material.

And I’m starting to wonder is Pioli is the right guy for the job. I guess we’ll see once Haley is fired (hopefully following this season and our 1-15 record).

I am sorry, but I don’t know how Whitless still has a job. Sure when Pioli and Haley first got hired, Whitless had good things to say, but I think it was just a smoke screen. He was just waiting for something to happen so he could start bashing these guys as vehemently as he praised Carl. I don’t care how good you are. I don’t care how great of a person you have proven to the old regime you are, a player simply cannot be aloud to basically come in and demand to know what direction the new coach and gm are taking the team. As Gump said it, ““There is a time for discussion and debate. Once a decision is made it is your duty to go forth and execute as if the decision were your own.” It doesn’t matter if you disagree, if it is not your decision to make.” To tell you the truth, as many damn penalties Waters has gotten this year, I am starting to wonder if he is quietly sabotaging an already shitty line. I have enjoyed very much watching Waters push guys around when the Willies were still here and I hope that I am wrong, but look at the penalties.

There have been some probable mis-steps in managing the current roster in my opinion. Leadership is what it is and this team has lacked it for years. If Pioli / Haley want to lead that’s fine with me, it is apparent that DJ, Brian Waters, D-Bowe and company are not going to or are not capable of leading.

Whitlock is right about one thing (And one thing only), you have to play football with emotion. Denver is seriously over achieving right now, and yes Marshall appears to be on board but wait for it!!!! How many times was T O apparently on board, or in our case L J. When this team is honestly tired of being embarrassed like the SD game or coming up short like all the other games this year they will learn to step it up and make a difference. If they don’t care then they get what they deserve. 20+ years in the the Army, there is a chain of command. Colin Powell once said “There is a time for discussion and debate. I’m with Shane, this is gonna take more time. I see light on the horizon.

LOL DD. I just think things especially with the media are blown way out of proportion.For example, I just heard the sign was originally a comment from a Giant years ago and it was displayed when Haley was with the Jets, not just something he made up last week. Do we know for sure all these players deep down are that scared of speaking their minds? Maybe. I am just not ready to throw in the towel yet on the current regime. Sorry! I know what your expectations were and I am sorry to say you were right. I think most of us were so excited to see major changes, that we would have to do nothing but get much better.

What you are saying about Whitlock being “very anti Pioli/Haley” is neither correct nor fair. Whitlock was very much an early advocate of both Pioli and Haley before either was ever hired. As far as the Waters story goes, if was true then I agree with Whitlock that Waters was completely disrespected.

As far as players saying “positive things . . . about their coach/GM” is concerned, you might want to also consider what the consequences would be for any player bold enough to say otherwise? Much as I don’t care for LJ, one thing I will say about him is that he’s at least got the balls to speak his mind.

As far as my expectations are concerned, as best I recall I was roundly chastised and summarily dismissed for setting them too low and preaching patience when it wasn’t yet cool to do so. “Way too pessimistic” was the common refrain. Just goes to show, you can never please everybody.

First of all, Whitlock is a very anti Pioli/Haley (No shit huh?) and I really don’t care for members of the media that are not open minded enough to see past their own noses. Whitlock has talked shit about the current regime ever since the story broke about how Waters was misreated. Since then I have only heard negative comments for the most part from Whitlock. Do I agree with his opinions? Yes & no. I think the fact D-Bowe & others being sent to the third string to let them know they are not guaranteed starters may have been a mistake. I think as a coach you have to know your players well enough to actually know what drives/motivates them. I think Haley acted to early on his decision to bench or send players to the 3rd string. He needed more time for his personal relationships to grow. I don’t think the sign was what some are saying was a rebuttal to LJ’s actions or comments. My perception is they are making it a point to the team that either your on the train as a winner or you are not and if not, get off the train so to speak. I actually have heard only positive things about how our team feels about their coach/GM excluding LJ. Maybe I am wrong, but it appears to me Jason Whitlock lacks the patients and brains for things to come together for our Chiefs. Maybe he is a closet Denver fan because his articles do nothing but bring fans down IMO. I will give this team/regime time before I make rash decisions. We are only half way through the first season! If you expected more than where we are currently, your expectaions were way to high!
