Lets say that the Chiefs do allow Larry Johnson to back and play. Lets say that he breaks the Chiefs rushing record at Arrowhead. What do the fans do? Cheer him or boo him? I would like to see what everyone thinks about this.

LJ is awful. He had two monster years and now he’s done. I hope Jamaal Charles has a breakout game this Sunday and takes over the starting role, and I hope the Chiefs either trade LJ before the season is over or just go ahead and cut him. He’s not helping this team, he’s helping to hold this team back.

So, I believe, is Todd Haley… but that’s another subject.

I really hope that Pioli and Haley take this petition seriously. When I signed it, I read through some of the comments. You can really see an upset fan base. Most of the comments written can be clearly understood as true Chiefs fans.

I just checked and it is up to 27,485 fans signing this petition. Even though a certain percentage of these posts are not true fans, this extremely high number should not be IGNORED!

I signed this petition the other day when I found the link through Arrowhead Pride. At that time it had over 12,000 signatures. I just looked again and there were over 26,300. I wonder if the business managers for the Chiefs will even see this petition, but it is a resounding call by the fans for the team to “wake up”.

We, the fans, have our own definition of what the “right 53″ are also and Larry Johnson isn’t one of them. Despite how you may view the several imprecations perpetrated by LJ, the total lack of acceptable conduct, or abiding by the law, or even the basic respect of others have truly excluded him from being someone we want representing our city, our team, and us as fans.

I say this; Clark, Scott, and Todd, your acceptance of Larry Johnson back into a Chiefs uniform is not acceptable to us. We demand you be men of character. Lead by example. Demonstrate the moal compass and inner toughness you are requesting of the players.

I would be shocked to see him on the field the rest of the season. In fact, I would bet they are checking with the league to see if they can take more salary from him and let him go.

Personally I think its not about keeping Larry off the field for the record but a petition to get his ass off our field permanently.

We are a team that has produces RB’s with the integrity of Joe Delaney and Priest Holmes and even Christian Okoya is doing good things now not that he didn’t display integrity on the field. But this Larry Johnson bs, well its just not the KC way. Sit tight, it wont be tolerated.

Honestly I think this is more than just a petition against Larry. It started out as just a petition, but it seems to me its turned into an outcry from a disgruntled fanbase who’s sick of certain loud-mouthed whiners, and tired of hearing about “the plan” and “the right people” and getting nothing to show in return.

This petition is more of a showing that KC wants its team, and those in charge, to take notice and start acting like they deserve the loyalty thats been so faithfully shown year in and year out. For them to not only put Johnson back in, but LET him have that record (regardless of how Chiefs Nation obviously feels), is a slap in the face. I don’t know how else to take it.

If the people in the Chiefs organization need a petition to know where public opinion on this .They better fire everyone in the PR department…
