Chiefs Send Larry Johnson Home

POSTED ON WWW.KCCHIEFS.COM

The Kansas City Chiefs and the National Football League are continuing to investigate the alleged comments made by Larry Johnson. Until that review is complete, the Chiefs have instructed Larry to refrain from practicing with the Chiefs or participating in other team activities. A decision regarding Larry’s status will be made once the investigation has concluded.

Awesome!! F him! Good riddance! See Ya! Wonn’t miss your pouting baby whining ass!!!
This is the best news I have heard all year! I just hope the leadership realizes he is now officially a cancer to the team and he isn’t worth the headache and that they have the balls to send him packing.

Something tells me LJ’s main motivation in doing this was to get the Chiefs to terminate his contract in the hopes that he find work elsewhere. Considering the fact that the trading deadline just recently passed, without him being traded, I find the timing of all this a bit suspect.
    Agree/Disagree?

DOUBLE D when I smell smoke I start looking around for fire. Right on. When this much money is involved you can bet there is a method behind the madness.

What is there to investigate? Didn’t he admit and apologize for everything that he said. The investigation is done and the Chiefs banned him from the team and we will never see Larry Johnson run the ball for the Chiefs again. Thank God.

Finally. That bum is off the sidelines. What a waste of all that talent. Hopefully, he’s gone for good. Whatever happens, this guy CANNOT return to this team. No matter what it cost, eat that salary and get that guy outta there. This is KC’s version of a T.O. when you look at how bad of a distraction this guy is. He is a cancer and knows that he has the Chiefs brass by the balls. He’s in it for the money and that’s it. Even if he goes to a division opponent, so what….They have to deal with his baggage and he will bring those teams down too……One thing, Vermeil was right about him early on when he “challenged” is manhood. Now its all coming full circle. See ya, LJ….Beat it. Your a Thief, notta Chief. You bum!!!!!!!

If the Chiefs end up supporting this looser and lets him back on the team, I’ll be driving a few hours to support St. Louis — they at least know how to manage idiots, i.e. Rush Limbaugh.

Jason, I agree with you that it would be bad for the Chiefs to keep him around, but i wouldn’t jump ship over that! Sorry, but I am way to loyal to ever give up!

I have refrained for 48 hours now on commenting on this issue. But now that positive action has been taken I am glad for it.

The mistakes of the past are still here haunting us. But the front office isn’t caving. I see this as a move of integrity. There isn’t tolerance for this kind of behavior.

These adult men are getting paid to perform certain actions based on their percieved skills. Everyone from the owner on down has a job to do and a responsibilty to someone. Underperforming and then creating disention including insubordination and attempting to undermine the authority of the Head Coach cannot be permitted. That is conduct detrimental to the team.

I am extremely happy the Chiefs organization has taken truly affirmative action against this behavior. Because if you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem.

While all the woes of this team are not the fault of Larry Johnson, his actions are completely counter productive. His inability to forsee any reprecussions of his comments speaks largely to his immaturity, egocentricity, personal responsibility, and character. The new regime has stated from the outset about having smart, tough, motivated players. Mr. Johnson is clearly not one of these and the sooner this boil is lanced the better.

And isn’t there something out there like…
fool me once, shame on me?

How many more times will he have to appologize for his inappropriate actions AS A CHIEF?

Good thoughts SGT. Is LJ really that stupid or is DD on to something? Or both?

whatever the reason,, or conspiracy,, I say goodbye Larry Johnson and good luck finding a team that will want you.
