toma Says:

"I sometimes think the fans are over their heads. They have many forums to say what they want with no accountability. They are hidden behind their computers and will say anything for the shock effect."

I agree. The "fans" called for the firing of Herm last year. And now we are stuck with the Toddler. After the Chiefs go 0-16 those "fans" are still going to be claiming it was the right decision.

I think that Haley sees something that is not up to his standard and wants to make a change. We are not at the practices to see how coach ward works with the receivers and to see if he is a good receivers coach. I think it was a good move. If you watch the games even when Cassel has a little bit of time to throw it looks to me that the receivers are having a difficult time getting open. I think a little better coaching might help that part of the game.

dbk: Whole new staff. First time he's assembled an entire staff. Team is poor and lost every game so far. Go easy on the guy. He's changing things as he sees reason to change them. Some of us questioned his choices early on (I didn't know enough to question them), and most of those choices that were called into question have since been un-made. Not a huge deal.

I'm still stickin' by my "Chiefs are a .500 team that can sneak into the playoffs if they get some breaks; otherwise, they finish somewhere in the 6-10 to 10-6 band." Heh. Pretty much impossible to hit the high end of the prediction, but I'm stickin' by their being basically a .500 team +/-, depending on whether they catch some breaks.

I think the Broncos are going to hit the wall, here soon. Big as the New England win seems, it was a squeaker and New England is NOT the dominant team of a couple years ago.

I'm just worried that in 3 more games, I'm not even MATHEMATICALLY in it, as far as my prediction of a .500 or better season went. I can still suspend my disbelief (I'm pretty obstinate, ya know...) for a little while longer.
