What Are The Odds This Week?

by Chiefs

You know me; I love to know what the odds are going into every game, as they usually are a good indicator of how close the game will be. For example: Ravens game was 13.5 points, we lost by 14; Raiders game was 3 points; we lost by 3.  See a pattern?

Chiefs (+9) over EAGLES
“What me worry? Hell, yeah! Donovan with the ribs. Westbrook with the ankle. And now, DeSean with the groin. With the Eagles version of the old Cowboy triplets (Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin) all in various states of disrepair, it’s impossible to look at the hometown heroes. Not at plus-9. We do know that Kansas City ain’t New Orleans, and Matt Cassel ain’t Drew Brees, but the Chiefs usually handle the underdog role very well, covering 11 of the last 17. Then there’s some research we did on the bye-week stats. The Birds are off next week, and here are some very interesting numbers: In games before the bye week, the Eagles are only 3-7 straight up and only 2-7-1 against the spread. Want better? Got it. Underdogs have covered 12 of the last 14, with one push, in Philly the last 15 years. The Birds, but barely”.

Jackson is also nicked.

Kolb isn't going to have as much of that rookie look this week. The way the Eagles D manhandled the Panthers we had better be ready. But if the Eagles decide to start with the wildcat stuff and swapping in Vick, look for Kolb's rhythm to be off. Westbrook has a sprained ankle, so he might not even play.

If we don't have to worry about Westbrook, we have a chance at winning this one. The corners will really need to be on their game as Deshawn Jackson is no slouch and Kolb can throw deep.

It will be interesting to see which Chief team shows up at the Linc.

I hope you're right cclary. I have the same feeling. We do need a win to reward our players for all their hardwork and soon. Wins cure everything.

You and me both Randy!!! GO CHIEFS!

I have a feeling that we are going to win this one. I know we are on the road but the Eagles are banged up and I think that the dog fighter is going to hurt them more than help. This is going to be a low scoring game I'm thinking maybe 16-10 CHIEFS!!!!
