Chiefs Shoot Themselves In The Foot

After a strong first half which could have ended with a bang, the Chiefs allowed time to expire in chip-shot field goal range. I’m disappointed, but this was mostly due to the two early timeouts burned by the Kansas City offense. Additionally, Matt Cassel couldn’t get the ball to a receiver near the sideline on that final throw. He’s looked pretty good, but it’s clear that he and head coach/offensive playcaller Todd Haley our still a little out on sync. Look for the Chiefs to continue to run the ball and assume control of this game in the upcoming half.
