The stat is a bit misleading however. Teams were waiting till after week one to sign some vets. That way, the whole year's salary would not be guaranteed. This tells me two things: 1. The Chiefs obviously have had a serious lack of talent over the last few years. 2. Mr. Pioli seems to be doing his job correctly.
