Cardinals Already Miss Todd Haley

by Chiefs

Per Rotoworld.com:

“The Cardinals desperately missed Todd Haley’s playcalling on Sunday. They were much more conservative offensively, and Warner didn’t have a shotgun snap until the second half.”

I watched that game as well, and the announcers mentioned the same thing numerous times. Relax Chiefs fans, Haley has us heading in the right direction slowly, but surely.

Maybe the play calling wasn't actually what I meant. Playing smart football when you are playing a team that obviously out stacks you is what I was referring to. That game could have been a sh:t storm and probably would have with the old coaching regime.

oh I'm not complaining. The comment just didn't make sense to me. I understand why they called the game the way they did. I'm sure there are many Chiefs fans who are disappointed in the play calling cause it reminded them of the previous regime, but it seems like thats what we have to do to protect the QB. Difference between Herm/Carl and Haley/Pioli... at least the new regime is trying to fix the problem by bringin in players. (and cutting sackintosh)

Jeremy,

Hmmm, seems to me that Herm was also an advocate of keeping it close. In fact, after the game, Haley actually admitted that he told his players the only chance they had at winning was by doing it ugly. After hearing that, I began to wonder what Coach Todd's take on Arena Football is? :)

Correct, 447, but Haley was trying to protect Brodie who was obviously still learning the offense. He was also trying to see what he had on the right side of the O-line. I wished he would have thrown more too, but he wanted to keep it close, which he dis. Once the Chiefs get the O down, I exepct things to open up a lot more.

447 Would you rather Have Herm/Gailey calling the plays or Haley?

Give Haley some time. Go Chiefs

So what was the difference in the play calling? I saw a lot of run 1st, run 2nd, and pass 3rd. Seemed like very conservative play calling to me. Very Herm/Gailey esque.

Given the fact that we lost Sunday, I was happy about two things. 1 - the Chiefs were competitive. 2 - I felt pretty good about the play calling for once in a long, long time.
