Why Not Tauscher?

by Chiefs

As you all know, we have some serious issues on the right side of the line. So much so that we traded away a draft pick or picks to Miami to help bolster the unit. Which begs the question: why not bring in Mark Tauscher former RT from Green Bay? Mark hurt his knee last year (the 13th game vs. Houston) and was placed on I.R. He has been recently cleared to play and is seeking a team in need of a RT. He has started 120 games and played nine seasons protecting lord Farve and Aaron Rodgers. The only thing he did to lose his starting job was to get injured. He probably is not in game shape and is a little rusty coming off the injury, but he would be an upgrade and worth a try considering it would only cost money and not draft picks to get him.

Any thoughts?

long term or not we need to protect our Cassel, until we can find some young long term guys! Its not gonna be hard to beat out our RT competetion! Let hope they can find some guys in the 2010 draft for oline we need 2 guards and a RT.

I pretty much agree with Adam. If you bring in a Tauscher, then you should get rid of D-mac. We need some room for young lineman to develop.

I think Pioli is looking for longer-term solutions along the offensive line with veterans Brian Waters and Mike Goff already providing leadership, but I could be wrong.
