Arrowhead Adventures And Section Chief Fun

Well, it’s been some weeks since you last heard from me Addicts. My last trip to Arrowhead took me to the draft party and all the adventure that it brings every year.  I made my yearly trek to Augusta for the Masters, and I just returned from Fenway and watching the surprisingly close KC – Boston game that Saturday.  Attending a game at Fenway is always interesting, attending with a KC Royals hat and Don Larson jersey makes it that much more adventurous,  needless to say I made it back alive.

Some exciting news I wanted to bring to the site is that I was chosen to represent my section at Arrowhead as one of the newly created “Section Chiefs.”  No doubt some of you received the great news too but I am  especially excited about it because I think it will bring a fresh perspective to my AA postings.

I’ll get:

• A meeting with Chiefs Interim President Denny Thum and Voice of the Chiefs Mitch Holthus.
• A pregame field pass for the Chiefs preseason home game vs. Seattle and maybe  more.
• Participation in the Opening Day 50th Anniversary pregame celebration.

My basic duties will be to help with some of the events, and to report to the organization on the fan opinions and happenings in my section, which of course fits right along with what all of you graciously allow me to do here at AA.

I’m proud (difficult as it has been sometimes) to say that I have attended every preseason and regular season home game for the last two seasons and even one preseason game in Chicago. I plan to attend every one again this year.

With all the heartache and frustrations we all endured the last two years, miraculously I was only forced to attend one game alone, the Miami game, and that we all know was the second coldest on record. This year I have had to turn many many people down, its just great to see so much optimism in the air.

I’m always available to answer any questions and pass along any tips you might need regarding life at the most exciting football stadium in the league.
