Brandon Marshall Wants Out Of Denver

Posted by: jeremyhanson

NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on 850 KOA in Denver that Brandon Marshall asked Broncos owner Pat Bowlen for a trade during their meeting Friday.

According to Adam Schefter, “Bowlen asked Marshall to take some time to reconsider his stance. Marshall is not expected to back down, however, which means the Broncos are right back where they were with Jay Cutler. Though it’s possible that a new contract could assuage Marshall, it’s more likely that the receiver will continue to push for a trade. Perhaps the Bears will be interested.” (Rotoworld.com)

What is happening in Denver? Has Josh McDaniels lost all control of his franchise? Can Denver’s offseason be the worst offseason of any NFL franchise?

The days of stupid, whining, lockerroom cancer players is over! Yeah i know cutler is a very good qb, but hes an ahole too! The broncos have 4 1st round picks in 2009/2010. thats not too shabby. even though i hate the broncos, there not is a bad of shape as everyone thinks. i think san diego has bigger issues of next year with all their starters becoming free agents. id get rid of marshell too, hes not any better than t owens when it comes to attitude. go chiefs!

Excellent point Shooter. If they in fact trade Marshall for a first or second, then they are stacked in the draft pick department, and could add some serious talent in upcoming years. However, they would have to draft very well.

Didn’t they lose a first round pick though when they traded up to pick their second round pick this year? Anyone?

    Hey Denver: Burn baby, burn.

Broncos just signed Brandon Lloyd (WR). Maybe there is some merit to the Marshall rumors.

yes Jeremy Hanson (and please stop asking us to take a seat with you) The Bronco’s traded their 2010 first rounder to move back into the 2nd round. I was underwhelmed with who they got. If you are going to trade back into the 2nd, you better be going after a guy who slipped from being a probable 1st rounder then a guy who got some last minute (and propably undeserved) hype.

[...] Now Brandon Marshall is making a big stink about getting out of Denver.  When bad news about Denver breaks, I find the best place to get an assessment of the situation is a Kansas City Chiefs blog.  <arrowheadaddict> [...]

I think a photo of rats leaving a sinking Broncos ship would be appropriate.

Yeah, it’s been ugly ever since Josh McDaniels showed up. Honestly though… they lost Jay Cutler, we lost Tony Gonzalez. They’re probably losing Brandon Marshall, we’re probably losing Brian Waters. Their problems have just been less smoothly handled and more publicized.

There’s a very large gulf of difference between losing one or two grizzled vets late in their careers, and losing two young guys finally coming into their own with the potential to be franchise players.

I’ll take losing the old franchise LG and TE over losing the young franchise QB and WR any day.

True, but Jay Cutler is not as good a quarterback as Tony Gonzalez is a tight end, and we only got a 2010 2nd rounder for Tony. Denver got two 1st round picks, a 3rd round pick, and Kyle Orton — so they could still have a starting QB — for Jay Cutler (a whining, pouting, douche) and a 5th round pick they had layin’ around anyway.

Brandon Marshall: also a douche, and Brian Waters is our best O-lineman; not to mention the fact that Waters and Gonzalez are/were both pillars not only for the team but for the community.

I think Josh McDaniels should be given more credit and the opposition should give more heed to he and Broncos. I think McDaniels knows what he’s doing.

    Hopefully, I’m wrong.
