I lose a lot of games of 8-ball, because I'll go for the only shot that gives me a chance at running the table. I'd rather see Dorsey move to DE, Hali to OLB. Not sure about McBride.

I can see trading Tony, especially as a deal-sweetener to a team that wants to trade up to #3. We want to keep Watters. Wouldn't count either Tony or Brian out as far as returning to the team, despite their absence in minicamp but I don't think you give up a quality guard in the hand, in the name of building your o-line. Much better to go with the proven commodity than to roll the dice on a rookie, no matter HOW glowing the scouting reports are.

The idea is to build as much as you can with what you've got, and not piss it away because you're falling in man-love with all these college players.

Ok so long scenario but i think a good one for our switch to 3-4.

Trade pick #3 to SF for: Picks 10,43,111
Trade Tony G, Waters, Hali, pick 111 to Buffalo for: picks 28, 42, 75.
Trade Dorsey to TB for: pick 19.

Pick #10: Tyson Jackson, DE
Pick #19: Everette Brown, OLB
Pick #28: Alex Mack, C
Pick #42:Max Unger, LG
Pick 43: Phil Loadolt, RT
Pick 67: James Casey, TE
Pick 75: Louis Murphy, WR
Pick 102: Ricky Jean-Francois, DE

Doing this makes our D-line: Tyson Jackson, Tank Tyler, Ricky Jean-Francois. LB's: Brown, Thomas, Johnson, Vrabel. That's a solid front 7 and the young guys will get better we'll have to get eventual replacements for Thomas and Vrabel.

Our O-Line would be: Albert LT, Unger LG, Mack C, Goff RG, Meredith RT. 4 of those 5 players could be on our O-line for 10 years and should perform well as rookies. WR's would be Bowe, Murphy as a deep threat, Engram in the slot. TE can be divided between Cottam and Casey.

been researching this for a couple hours now not sure how likely any of these trades are but they are possible as i researched the teams needs involved in the trade and put my value on the players we would trade. This draft would not make us a playoff team this year but it would get us into a good young 3-4 defense with great leadership and have a good offense that can control the game and protect our QB.
