Would be great to have Peppers. Taylor, maybe. But either one of these guys as OLB behind a STOUT interior 3. Part of the 3-4 theme is you go STOUT in the middle, and give up on that whole 'tweener thing at DE. If you get a 'tweener with wheels, he's an OLB with DE tendencies.
We should be OVER DE's with OLB tendencies. Tired of that!
Why does everyone want to only get crab if we let go of tony...
imagine having all three out there, with one of our
other reievers sitting on the left side...
imagine what you get... a couple quick reads...and behind our o-line...isnt bad.
they cant double three of them...and dont forgett the back in the flat.
Maybe I miswrote- Peppers would have to first agree to the franchise tender - not offer sheet as I wrote above. We would then trade with Panthers. I would not give up 2 first either but I would give up one plus.
I don't think the schedule is easy but if we start off well esp w the ravens we will set the tone for the first half of the year.
Square- Yes to all of your questions. They could be plugged in anywhere. Probably with Taylor on the line to appease Peppers in his longing to play OLB.
South- I agree, I would love to have him but I would like to know what the Panthers are looking for. I agree I think his tank is full and he will be very productive I just wonder what it would take to get him.
I think our biggest need remains the front 7 and prob DE. I have nothing against Taylor. I just think Peppers is a sure thing - He could play the rush lb or rush/clog as a DE. I know he won't be free but the price may drop as we get closer to the draft.
Peppers says he wants to play OLB in the 3-4 but he seems like he would be effective at 3-4 DE as well and that would probly fit more of a need especially if Tamba is playing as a 3-4 LB
Can anyone believe that damn schedule? How the hell do we, a team that went fucking 2-14, end up playing at Philly, home against the Giants and Cowboys and at Washington, back to back to back to back? That is a load of crap! Whomever makes up these schedules needs to have their damn head examined. At a minimum they could of at least given us a prime time game during that fucking stretch! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Of course getting Peppers would be ideal but Pioli won't give up two first round picks for him. The best scenario would be picking up Taylor for a year or two and drafting Crabtree. With the Chief's tough schedule they're going to have to have a good offene to win. Crabtree is an immediate upgrade and Taylor is a good stop gap for now. The rest of the draft can be used on defense and an offensive tackle.
i have a question, would Peppers or Taylor play OLB in the 3-4? would they line up at DE in the 4-3? would the just play one of the two or would they do both roles and become the "predator" on the team.
Right, trade for Peppers. OK how are we supposed to do that? Right. Long way to go for your point Adam but I agree with it. I think he does have alot left in the tank and it would put us in an excellent position for a draft day trade.
If we do sign Taylor, keep Tony/Waters and draft Crab/Mac we wouldnt even need our 2nd round pick.
Side note. On another thread Double D was talking about season ticket sales. I know this sounds ridiculous but my wife made a good point. If they bring in Jason "Twinkle Toes" Taylor they will hit a fan base whose heads would explode along with Pink jersey and ticket sales. He is the Beckham (only with talent) of the NFL and would bring the Chiefs some chick $. I know, I know its ridiculous but still...think about it...I know your woman is.
Baldy - combination of pick(s) and/or player who does not want to be here for Peppers - he has to sign the offer sheet first but then it becomes possible. We have to absorb the franchise salary - $16m or sign him long term. He still has plenty of game. The rumors have certainly heated up - with us in the mix - since the patriot deal is reported to have gone south.
Square - I think both would prob be placed in the DE position. Peppers has dropped into coverage w panthers. Taylor has in the past but I do not know if he still has the moves.

Great vlog! Love the hat. Totally agree 100%, Jason Taylor would be an outstanding pick up! Being able to disguise our hand and start having options with that 3rd pick would be phenomonal! Teicher, ha ha thats pretty good Jeremy!
Haven't seen Teicher's vlog but I bet he isn't wearing that lame ass Obama shirt. You should be ashamed Adam.
On a side note, Michael Lombardi puts the Chiefs trading Gonzalez to the Falcons at 80%. Check it out. Whether he is right or wrong, I'm just sayin.
I will tell you this:
Adam Teicher's vlog doesn't have the fancy music, set design, and production value that Adam Best does!
Nor does Teicher have all of those fancy hats and Teicher should be wearing one!!
LOL
