BREAKING: The Broncos Will Trade Jay Cutler!!

by AFC West

jay-cutlerGoodbye!

Ciao!

Au revoir!

Sayonara, sucker!

Do svidan’ya, douchebag!

Hasta la vista, baby!

Pat Bowlen and his Denver Broncos are going to trade Jay Cutler. From PFT:

In a statement released Tuesday night, owner Pat Bowlen says that the team will accommodate quarterback Jay Cutler’s request for a trade:

“Numerous attempts to contact Jay Cutler in the last 10 days, both by [coach] Josh McDaniels and myself, have been unsuccessful.

“A conversation with his agent earlier today clearly communicated and confirmed to us that Jay no longer has any desire to play for the Denver Broncos.

“We will begin discussions with other teams in an effort to accommodate his request to be traded.”

This is huge. What does it mean, exactly? Well, to me it basically means that the Broncos are starting over. Either that or they’ll bring someone like Byron Leftwich, Jeff Garcia or J.P. Losman in. Good luck with that. Our Chiefs are fine with Matt Cassel, the guy McD and his Donks wanted instead of Cutler!

I am truly glad we didn't wind up with McDouche.

Another angle to this............We could have ended up with McDaniels if things had gone differently. Luck was with us on that one 'cause as much as Cutler is whining McD sure hasn't been much of a leader in this either like matthill82 said. Chaos in donkland makes me smile.

living in colorado i am loving this!!! you should hear the local media going crazy. they think teams are going to give up a starting qb and multiple picks including #1s. i love seeing the donkey faithful getting worked up.

Cassell for Cutler is ridiculous.

Quinn is potentially cause for concern...remember, our own staff (whatever you think of King Carl and Werm), said that Quinn was the 'brightest QB' they'd ever interviewed.

I also think that the notion of Cutler to Detroit's #1 is highly unlikely...they'd get Detroit's 2nd first round pick this year, #20...which might be the area Sanchez falls to.

Either way, the biggest issue is the leadership issue with the owner having to intervene here because neither the head coach nor GM could handle the situation...THAT should put a smile on Chiefs' fans' faces!

I have no sympathy for the froncos or Mc-Douche. But I'm leary of what is going to happen once the dust settles. Denver is in position to help themselves big time with Shaun Rogers leading the way.

Maybe they do trade with Detroit, that would be great, but they'll get some good picks for sure. And if it is with Cleveland, or they manage to workout one of those ridiculous 3-way trades that got them here in the first place, they'll get some very positive returns that will help in building their future.

Here's to hoping mc-Dbag has lost the team's morale, because the donkey's could be a force around the same time we are if not.

cutler is a douche...sweet 8th grade sideburns in the picture above

Uh, well, yeah.......I am an alum of another school, but some my family went there. Shows, I guess, huh?

Hammer: let me guess, Irish alum/fan?

This is Cassel's chance to start for his own team, in the NFL. I'll bet there is very little chance that Cassel will fail. I love to see the Donks floundering as much as anyone, but I am a little leery that they might make the trade (three way) for Quinn and come out better than many may anticipate. If they do, Quinn will still have to prove himself, but I think Quinn has the makings of a great quarterback. Cutler is just a douche with a strong arm.

Even if Cassel is a bust, we still get Vrabel...

and honestly, id trade a 2nd to get cutler out of denver, especially the way its happened....he wouldve been a tough qb to face for 10 years, I actually think hes a mental case, and that I did like about him, since you know he'd make mistakes....

However, I dont see Cassel as a bust, with how hard he works...calling his recievers, inviting them to his home to get to know each other, spending so much time watching tape of himself, his teammates etc...

Even Haley had to tell him to stop, relax for a bit....

So far, this is the best trade KC has made since...the Roaf trade?

At least the he said she said soap opera is over for now. Josh McDaniels has probably already lost his team before minicamp even starts. What a douche. I'd rather face Brady Quinn personally. He's going to be adequate, but Culter has a million dollar arm and his decision making will get better. With Denver's putrid D last year, he had to force more throws because they had to score every drive to stay in te game. With a better defense Cutler will lead a team deep into the playoffs. The maturity, however, is a concern. The locker room of whoever he gets traded to will be weary of having a crybaby to coddle. He needs to be on a team with proven vets that can keep his vagina in check.

Please don't suggest trading Cassel for him. That is never going to happen. That trade was perfect for so many reasons, and this is the icing on the cake...

Let's don't rejoice over this too much until we find out if the Broncos can work a three way trade for Brady Quinn. Frankly I would rather face Cutler twice a year than Brady Quinn. When Quinn finally gets the chance to play, he is going to be a very good quarterback.

Great point Woody about Cutlers maturity, and its sad because I saw him throw a td pass against us that was just incredible. He has a fantastic arm. Great point about the Whistlers hamburgers too!

Cassel takes the Patriots to 11-5 record in a tough conference, to me that is NFL proven.

I would take Cassel over Cutler any day of the week. We had enough of the diapers with LJ.

Let's put this whole "Cutler for Cassel" load of crap to rest PLEASE! Dont want him! Too much drama!
Hope he disappears to a team like the Browns or the Jets or the Buccaneers! Cassel deserves to have the fans rally around him!

why would we want to help the broncos get themselves out of this mess. Even if cutler is better than cassel cassel is a team first guy which is completely opposite of cutler. That would still give the broncos a good QB i would rather see them suffer with stafford then give them our new franchise QB.

Kevinlavalle:
Yes, and Norv Turner can screw that team out of games any given Sunday.

Vbchief:
They will not trade him for the #1 pick in the draft IMO...Noone wants the money/pressure that pick puts on your team. Much more likely to be for pick #20.

tim:
You can see the way Cutler is behaving and you lack to logic to realize he will never be a mature leader on a football team...?

Randy:
Hey, better get down here for some Whistler's old man...

Soo nice to see the Broncos struggle at the qb position. SOOO SWEET

Only if we get their second rounder with it Tim.

Lets trade Cutler for Cassel.

That way, we actually get a good Qb. Cutler is cheaper, has a better arm, and has succeded in a team that isnt full of superstars.

Not that it matter.

Thiggy for 09!!!

Do you see Carl, I really isn't so hard!!

cutler to detroit for there first round pick. denver selects matt stafford with the firsr overall pick in the draft, and josh mcdaniels gets to groom a potentiol franchise q.b

The cassel trade is now a stroke of genius. There is only one team in the afc west with a proven quarterback at the helm.Well done scott well done.
