What is the Worst Man Drafted (WMD) Tournament? To celebrate March Madness, the FanSided.com sports network compiled a field of the 64 worst NFL Draft busts of all time. Why the name WMD? Because like the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, these accidental WMDs never showed up either. Head on over to NFL Mocks to check out the tournament we’ve been slaving over.

Oh, and the Chiefs are represented by your WMD nominees — Ryan Sims and Todd Blackledge!

My vote is Todd Blackledge. There I said it...dan marino????????

Why won't the name Jimbo Elrod leave my brain who was actually better than Brad Budde.

you know if we are just talking Chiefs worst draft Cloud comes to mind too...Chiefs tried and tried to make Mike Cloud work but ended up trading him to...Jets?

BUT in the NFL? Ryan Leaf has to be there!

Merlin:

In my opinion if you draft a guy in the first round; 1st or 32nd; he should be a starter for your team.

I think it comes down to expectations. Sims was a top 10 pick and Trezelle was picked in the 30's. I still think Jozwiak was a bigger bust than Sims. Jozwiak also was a top 10 pick.

By the way, this made the front page of Digg, taking down our server over there, so it was/is down. Should be up shortly. Just wanted to update my fellow Addicts.

At least Sims started quite a few games for us. Trezelle played in 9 games and started only 1 game in three years before being cut.

He was mentioned, but he was picked later in the first round than either Blackledge or Sims and only two players from each team made it.

I can't believe nobody thought about Trezelle Jenkins.

DOUBLE D YOU BEAT ME TOO IT

DD:

That has a lot to do with some players development. I can't believe no one else thought of Jozwiak. Talk about a clunker.

All I'll say about Blackledge is that he might not have been a per se "bust" had he been with an organization that had the first clue about what it takes to develop a franchise QB.
