Draft Results:
1. Detroit Lions – QB Matthew Stafford, Georgia
2. St. Louis Rams – OT Jason Smith, Baylor
3. Kansas City Chiefs – LB Aaron Curry, Wake Forest
WR has opened up a double-digit vote lead over OT, so we’re moving on. Presently, only two wide receivers are projected to go inside the top 10. That being said…
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

receiver seriously they would go o-line or D-line I thin eugine monroe
Yes….there is no logic to them taking a WR….sorry fellas…
I can’t see them selecting a WR. They just invested a heavey amount in to T.J. I would have said Raji, but with the recent trade and the signing of DT’s to the roster, I don’t know. Some one will covet Crabtree and there might be a possibility of a trade, although unlikely in the top 5.
yeah WR is totally unlikely – Adam your system was working fine up til this pick. The simple way of doing this is to have a poll with say the top 8 players left from a neutral source like Todd mCshay and then an option of “other”. If the person wants to select other they can put the name in the comments section.
They sign TJ and then go draft a WR with #4 overall pick? Utterly ridiculous!
Oh well, make it Crabtree I guess.
After some thought we are going to go to the Mel McShayock system. I’ll look at the mocks/big boards of those three and pick out about 6-8 players per pick, along with other for the write-in candidates.
Good idea. Seahawks are going Monroe if he’s there.
Thanks for the suggestions, Maine and Co. Merlin and I just wanted to try this out so that two players of the same position (i.e. Smith and Monroe) wouldn’t cancel each other out. I don’t think it worked real well as far as letting the readers get as involved as they should be.
Off topic, but this Denver situation is getting out of control. Now I know we all hated Cutler as a Bronco, but I bet we could trade Cassel for Cutler and also snag like a 2nd rounder in the deal. Cutler has demanded a trade, Mcdaniels has a major Cassel boner, and we could maybe get our 2nd round pick. Aside from this, Cutler is more proven and is rated higher by most analysists. Just a crazy idea but I think we could really take advantage of the Bronco’s stupidity here.
2383:
Cutler is not the type of QB that Pioli wants. Cassel is that type of QB. I am not saying that Cassel is better than Cutler, but it’s a matter of styles. Pioli wants a smart QB that makes good decisions. Arm strength is not as important to him. I would guess that McDaniels is of the same mind as Pioli. It may very well be that Cutler is traded. Look for a team that values arm strength to go after Cutler.
I agree completely with Merlin…If there is ANYTHING this has shown it is that there is no chance Cutler can work under the “Patriot Way” of which we are now a part…I dont like him as a QB anyway…People forget that on average he was responsible for a turnover per game last season…AWESOME!
