AA Reader Mock Draft: Chiefs Order Some Curry, Seahawks Up

AUTHOR: Adam Best | IN: Chiefs | COMMENTS: 4 Comments

Draft Results:

1. Detroit Lions – QB Matthew Stafford, Georgia

2. St. Louis Rams – OT Jason Smith, Baylor

3. Kansas City Chiefs – LB Aaron Curry, Wake Forest

There was no need to do an offcial tally to see who you all picked for the Chiefs at No. 3. Linebacker Aaron Curry ran away with the voting early and never looked back. I prefer Michael Crabtree (even though my budding bromance with Torry Holt could change that) or even a true pass rusher like Brian Orakpo or Everette Brown, but I digress. Chiefs Nation has Curry Fever, and he’s a helluva player. He could very well be a Chief come late April.

Here is how we are going to do this. We are going to do a poll based on what position each team should pick, and then a subsequent poll of players who play the position you vote as each team’s biggest need. That being said, the Seahawks are on the clock…

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

“With the…uhhhhh….4th pick of the 2009 NFL Draft…The Seattle Seahawks select…

    Eugene Monroe, Offensive Lineman, Virginia…”

The Seahawks are making all the right personnel moves. They addressed WR and DT in the past few days. They are positioned just as well as we are as far as the “leftovers” can be of amazing value to them. I think in this situation the best thing for the football team is to take an elite LT.

It is true that they are going to need a QB but going by an increasingly common opinion of this years crop (that any other year they would not be considered in the 1st round at all) I think this is not their year for that. They would be much better suited in both QB and RB performance for the next decade with Monroe.

I really wonder why people are locked on Seattle going OL/DL only…I think that they may be looking for a QB since Hasselbeck is getting up there. You never know…they seem more primed to trade out…Although this Cutler trade would change everything.

  3. woody says:

I agree that they need a QB….Matthew is 34 with chronic back problems…But with the premise of this being that Stafford is gone I don’t think they will take Sanchez here with elite talent available for their decrepit Oline…

  4. Double D says:

WR should not have even been listed as an option here. And all the people who voted for WR here need to get a frikkin’ clue. Seriously.
