Yes, Pioli probably wanted to come in with a big, epic move to start his era in KC (Cassell), but if Pioli is really as smart as some of us think he is, and knowing how secretive he can be, don't you think he's probably got another trick up his sleeve? If not, wouldn't it have made more sense for him to have waited until draft day to make the trade to throw everyone off their game? Here’s something I thought of today. His contract talks with Chargers are up and down, depending on whose mom you listen to. We certainly have the money to ride that for a couple years, assuming he has a couple left.
