T.O. to the Chiefs is the last thing that would happen, I'm thinking. Haley knows T.O., and based on that pleasant conversation they had years ago in Dallas, I don't think he's a very big fan. Judging by both that blowup and the one between he and Boldin in the NFC Championship Game, I don't think Haley has much tolerance for questioning his decisions, which T.O. surely would do.

I've been thinking about this, and I've come up with a destination that would be absolutely devastating for the rest of the league and actually somewhat makes sense:

New England.

First of all, they've shown the willingness to roll the dice on WRs who are perceived as having T.O.-like personalities by acquiring Randy Moss. In the right environment on the right team with the right coach, Moss all of the sudden is a motivated football player who's playing some of the best football in his career.

Secondly, The Pats are the only team in the league who could pull this off because of the respect that Bill Belichick and the organization command for their success and the tone they set. This gives Belichick the ability to control egos. If a player is serious about wanting a shot at the Super Bowl, New England is at the top of their list.

I think T.O. wants to win and wants the stigma of "selfish player who doesn't care if he wins" to go away. He's also got a very good work ethic, which you need to have if you want to play for the Pats.

Thirdly, T.O.'s style would actually mesh well with Moss's style in a passing attack. Moss is your deep ball threat, while T.O. is your Curl-route guy who drags D-Backs along for the ride. Each of them lining up at the same time makes the other one better. Belichick would be smart enough to realize this, and he'd also be smart enough to figure out how to assuage both egos by convincing them how each makes the other one better.

Did I miss something? Is Tony threatening retirement? He's under contract. He can ask to be traded, but it would only happen if it benefitted the Chiefs. We want a superbowl too. TO wouldn't be the worste idea if we thought he was done being a cartoon character, but it's not going to happen with our management and youth. TO wouldn't want to come here anyway. The lack of wins and media attention would be like prison to him.

Ohhh, and bringing him in, would really makes strides in convincing Tony to stay.

So far we havent really proved that yet. We need to make a splash to show we want to be serious contenders. TO will provide that.

And no, the cassel trade hasnt proven anything. If anything, Tony would prefer Thiggy starting because they have a chemistry. Tony is his favorite target.

If we don't make a move soon, Tony will make his.
