If he had surgery now, I think he still goes in the top ten, probably to Seattle at #4. He is at risk for future injury and he will have less time to heal prior to the draft. If he runs and runs well, he keeps his high draft value. If he runs poorly, he uses the 'I was not 100%' excuse. This is a pure financial move. For someone like Scott Pioli, who says it's about winning championships and not players going to the pro bowl, it would stand to reason that he would not be impressed by this move.
