I watched DT's Hall of Fame tribute on kcchiefs.com and was impressed by some of the voice overs from DT. Every player, whether embraced from the start of not, has the same opportunity to earn the respect of his fan's. It has become obvious over the years that LJ was never concerned about fans, never overly involved with players and coaches and from his display last season, concerned with how his actions affect his playing time. I have a hard time believing that LJ would be any different from his current self if he did "break ties" with the Chiefs and end up on another team. It's too bad LJ never shaped up to be a better player or person. He really is an embarrassment to me as a fan.

adam like i said i respect your comments on lj. i was not referring to you when i said that "you would not say it to his face." same with 102. i was referring to some of the real crude comments. One last comment I see LJ going to Pats or Steelers. If that happens that team will go to the Super Bowl and win. That said let us now focus on Coach Todd our new HC. I am excited. Herm Edwards should have never been name HC of this or any other franchise. I now feel we will truly have a chance to succeed.

Kingpin,
Some good points, however I would be glad to tell him face to face. He got me by about 20 lbs, but I haven't run across a tough guy that beats women.

I agree about him not necessarily being welcomed. But a man would have risen to meet the challenge and worked to win over the hearts of fans. He had this attitude where he didn't care and eventually it showed.

Also, I would in fact tell him to his face that I was disappointed with him and the person he's become. I've been hit by bigger guys then him -- on and off the field. Besides, this is a fairly popular site and I'm sure Larry owns about a dozen computers, probably four in his Maybach alone. This was picked up by Deadspin, too. I think that quantifies as saying it to him.

Anyway, people are frustrated. Chiefs fans feel insulted, betrayed. I think everybody needed a chance to really vent, so today I just kind of went with anything goes.

Adam, I respect your opinion on LJ. The fact is he is a pr nightmare. Still if you recall. He was no welcomed to KC from the gitgo. Vermeil ragged on him from day one. I agree he must go. The bridge is burned, the dam has burst and there is no way back. Still, I must say I am disappointed with some of the responses. The language was crude and unacceptable. Quite frankly none of you would say that to his face.I understand your frustrations, but the jail house humor combined with the crude comments do not serve our cause well. I wish LJ the best. I hope he finds some of the answers he needs. For us it is time to move on. Let us develop the talent we have and draft wisely. Go Chiefs

I used to stick up for LJ also and honestly if it weren't for that interview and what he said after the Cinnci game. I still would. But the guy is a douche. Nobody owes him shit. Before he got his deal he was being driven around in a MayBauch. Tell me in this economy how dude thinks anyone should owe him anything. He gets paid to play a game. I say if we can't get anything out of him we keep him, but don't play him. His ego couldn't take it. He's a less famous T.O.

Iron Man is dead. Everything that has to do with this guy is dead. As an ambassador of Chiefs fans everywhere (or at least on a few dozen computers), one thing I will not tolerate is a player dumping on the fans.

And thanks on the Pacino. Not really my ringer, but...love stuff like this. Dressed up as both Ah-nold and Mr. T when I was a kid for Halloween and stayed in character all night. Might have to bring some of my other impressions out eventually.
