Time To Meet Your Maker, Landry Hat
Tony Gonzalez was the only tight end named to the All-Pro First Team today. It’s Tony’s fifth selection to the team. In light of Tony’s selection, we wanted to pull up a quote from our sister site The Landry Hat. This quote is from back on June 8:
Jason Witten is the best tight end in the game right now. Why are Chiefs fans being such bitches? - Dan, The Landry Hat
Not only is Tony G. starting in the Pro Bowl and an All-Pro selection, but he also lead all tight ends in receptions (96), yards (1,058) and touchdowns (10 touchdowns). He also now owns every major tight end record in the NFL’s record books. What does The Landry Hat have to say about that? Well, I have something to say…
Tony Gonzalez is the best tight end of all time and Cowboys fans can’t say jack about it. Face!
And big congrats to Tony. You the man, Gonzo!

Ha, Cowboys fans are so lame…
It has been amusing the past few years hearing about these new Tight Ends that are all “The Best in the Game!”(Gates, Witten, Clark, Shockey) And then they have down years and Tony keeps on playing at HOF level….
January 9th, 2009 at 6:20 pmLOL!
HAHAHAH!
Take your beat down like a man Landry Hat!!!!!
I remember him posting here way back when….talking that trash.
Jason Witten will never even come close to Tony G’s Stats! Not now!!! Not Ever!!!!
January 9th, 2009 at 6:31 pmWhy even link his stupid website…
Cowboys = EPIC FAIL 2008
January 9th, 2009 at 6:36 pmLove the Epic Fail reference Eric!! watch AotS all the time…G4 rocks. Even on a 2-14 team Tony had a much better season than Witten ……. Landry Hat eats crow AGAIN
January 9th, 2009 at 7:34 pmHe is the greatest TE of all-time and one of my favorite Chiefs of all-time. As much as I have enjoyed watching him every Sunday over the years, I hope he gets traded this offseason. I want to see Tony G get to a Super Bowl before he is done. Kind of like Ray Bourque when he went to the Avs at the end to finally get a chance at the Stanley Cup.
January 9th, 2009 at 8:45 pmTony G is so good its unfathomable that the Landry Hat would even claim Witten is better. But hey, since he wants to make some claims about Tony G vs. the cowgirls, let’s give him some facts.
Receptions: 96, tied for fourth in the NFL (including WRs and RBs) MORE THAN T.O. AND WITTEN
Yards: 1,058, 12th overall (including WRs and RBs). MORE THAN T.O. AND WITTEN
TDs: 10, Tied for 5th overall (including WRs and TEs). MORE THAN WITTEN AND TIED WITH T.O.
In fact, there was only one player in the league who had a combination of more yards, catches, and TDs than Tony G when it came to catching, Larry Fitzgerald, an elite receiver in his prime.
Tony G isn’t just the best TE ever, he’s also one of the top 5 RECEIVERS in the game today. Boooya.
January 9th, 2009 at 9:01 pmDirty scum bag. We’ve gone through this before, dirty scum bag. When it is all said and done, Jason Witten will have better numbers and more championships than Fagzo.
Why do you stir this back up again? Why?

January 9th, 2009 at 10:17 pm[...] never ends with these Kansas City Chiefs fans. After another woeful season that is leading to wholesale firings and changes, the Chiefs fans [...]
January 9th, 2009 at 10:21 pmok so you can say wittens better than tony g.
all his records, all his stats, everything hes done, has been with shitty QB’s.
Other than trent greens first 4 years, he has had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING at qb.
and year in and year out he pulls hit HOF stats, and witten cant matche even though he has “The Next Troy Aikman,” on his team in Tony HOMO! pretty pathetic to me.
and dont get me wrong i like witten and he is no doubt a good player, but too even be mentioned in the same sentence as Tony G is just completely Idiotic…..but then again i guess that would match dallas fans huh?
January 9th, 2009 at 11:04 pmwow this is so patetic on the prettyboys half, witten will NEVER make it to the HOF but Tony cemented his place years ago! Go Chiefs and The prettyboys can suck it hard cause they like it like that
January 10th, 2009 at 12:09 amJason Witten will break Tonys records..im not trying to take anything away from tony i like him as a player..Witten is one hell of a player and nobody cant argue that. Tony has better number for one reason only. KC doesnt have good wide receivers which means their number one target is who? the big all pro tight end. Dallas has t.o and now Roy williams and last time i checked tony gonzales wanted out of KC why? because he doesnt want to play for a losing team anymore. so enjoy him while you can im pretty sure he wont stay there for long
January 10th, 2009 at 2:53 amHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
There are four words I have for you and that statement…
No. Way. In. Hell.
HAHA….Jason Witten has peaked, he is above-average but he is not and never will be anywhere near the Tight End Tony is….
Thank You Eric, You just gave me the biggest laugh so far today….Can’t wait to hear from you again…
January 10th, 2009 at 3:04 amErik* ….sorry…
January 10th, 2009 at 3:07 amWhat up now bitches?
Yeah! Dallas in the playoffs! Oh wait…
Howbout them Cowboys?
January 10th, 2009 at 5:44 amLandry hat I do give you props for coming back to post instead of pulling a dicktuck.
BTW you remind me of the sweat on my balls in the morning. Just shut the fuck up with this notion that Witten is anything close to Tony.
January 10th, 2009 at 3:46 pmTony: Saved 2 lives.
Jason: 0… Face again.
January 11th, 2009 at 9:37 amHah. The Cowboys, what a joke of a franchise. Raiders of the NFC. Can’t wait to strike them down inside Arrowhead next year.
January 11th, 2009 at 12:05 pm‘Raiders of the NFC’ as in they making f*cking ridiculous personnel decisions. Not record wise.
January 11th, 2009 at 12:06 pmSudden, Larry Fitzgerald is the best receiver in the NFL right now, so no shame there. The Cardinals also passed more than any team except New Orleans I believe.
January 11th, 2009 at 1:35 pmWhy did I stir this up again? Somebody’s gotta hold you crazy Cowboys bloggers and fans accountable in this world. Sorry, TLH.
