Herm and all the coaches are in limbo and because of that, we don't really have anybody putting any passion into scouting, free agency, drafting, planning etc for the 2009. If we're going to get a new HC (which I assume we are) then we better do so right away because the viable options on that will become very limited very soon. Either way, there is a lot of work that needs to be done right now and the longer this takes, the more behind the 8 ball we get. Carl Peterson supposedly resigned two to three weeks before the end of the season so Clarky baby could "begin" the search for a new GM. Here we are two weeks past the end of the regular season and still no GM. There is a very real possibility that the hang up in this whole deal is Pioli being forced to accept Herm Edwards for one more year or no deal. Scary to contemplate, but a very real possibility. It was ok to be thorough at first but now he knows who he wants so lets go get him. There hasn't been any other interviews scheduled to my knowledge so maybe we will here something tomorrow.
