I was actually starting to lean towards the DeCosta idea because I love the idea of getting Rex Ryan, but who knows if he'd actually defect. As long as the DC we bring in operates a base 4-3 which utilizes our young players' strengths, I'm ecstatic about the Pioli prospect. My only concern here is Pioli bringing in a DC who uses the 3-4. I still prefer DeCosta, but it's hard to argue against Pioli. The names floated for his head coach do not thrill me at all. However, Sparano didn't thrill me either and that worked out quite well.
