Until we have a GM, Herm 'begging' does nothing positive. Basically, he is a goner like most coaches when the GM changes.

If your not a Chiefs fan Herm has a decent reputation in some circles, a desparate man begging for his current job probably wont be extended many offers if he loses his current job.

Yes, I know he still gets paid even if he is fired. But I would still want to prove myself.

Shouldn't Herm Edwards begging and pleading for his job!!!????

I would be saying: "we are so close, I started this rebuidling process and I know it will work, I just need another year to prove it, I really want to stay, you will see"....

Instead he seems so non-chalant about it. Sounds like he knows the end is near.

He is in a dream job, paying him millions, I would be begging for that final year of my contract, at least the fans would know he cares.....

MasterBlaster!!!!

You are out of your freakin mind if we trade LJ OR Tony G for Brohm!!! There are better options than that. I know he was picked in the second round but I'll pass.

I'll stick with Thiggy Smalls please!!!!
I agree with you saying he is good enough for us not doing something stupid.

Bye Bye Gunther kick rocks Moe-Foe

Dave...

The Napolean Harris question is a tricky one. No I don't think that Rocky Boiman is the better solution. But at the same time, I think it was time for Harris to go. Harris was old, he represented the old regeime's ideas. He also may have been a cancer in that position saying "hey its ok to be good and underperform"

DJ, on the other hand, is still young, was a 1st round draft pick, and "may" still be salvagable.

I would rather there be a culture on this team of "hey! if you have tallent and you underperform your out!" rather than "hey, if you have tallent and you underperform we will keep you around for depth" Fear needs to be generated on this team to keep the potential pikers motivated. This isn't collecting a fat pay check! This is War! This is the NFL!

As far as Thighpen goes, He might not be the answer ;but I think he should be considered good enough to keep us from doing something really really stupid. Taking "Blackledge i mean Stafford" in the draft. Bradford yes...Stafford nooooooo.

I said it once, and I'll say it again. If we let Marty Ball stink anywhere near this new rebuilding team, I'm joining the Raiders Nation!

Steven...

I want to see how DJ does next to Maligula and cushing if we can get them. If he doesn't step up his game, then we can talk "giving him the axe"

Hard to trade down? we are in the perfect position for a trade down. Crabtree is the perfect trade bait. Crabtree should bounce over the lions and the rams. A short list of teams that might take Crabtree with their 1st and 2nd to bounce him over the competition. Seahawks, Browns, Raiders, 49ers, etc. I think there hasn't been a better opportunity for trade down since the browns gave up their two 1st's and a 2nd for Joe Thomas in the 3rd 07 draft.

Hali started putting together sacks once they moved him back lDE. If he would have been there all season, he probably would have been at about 6 sacks (give or take). Hell Terell Suggs is in the 6-8 sack territory. That's good. Don't be holding your breath for the reincarnation of the "one man gang". Unless maybe we pick up peppers. Pick-a-pepper *snicker*.

Cushing very well "might" be there second pick in the 2nd. It's Curry that probably wont be there.

And yah, Loadholt will probably go in the second. MASTERBLASTER'S MASTERPLAN hasn't been updated in a few months. I'm waiting till after the season, after the Bowl games, and after we find out who is or isn't going to declare. So take some of those choices with a grain of salt.

But on the other hand, when the real draft comes around, it is often surprising who will drop. On that note, how crazy would it be to offer LJ or Tony G. for Brian Brohm to Green Bay, straight up? In a way, that is getting a 2nd rounder for LJ or Tony G. What u guys think?

ESPN reported this morning that Marty was interviewed by Clark Hunt for the VP position similiar to what Parcells position is in Miami.

Now that the season is over, I want to know who else is being interviewed and has anyone see Cowher around town? I know Cleveland wants him, but I think Clark needs to get in the mix.

My concern about Marty, is I don't know if he'll fire Herm. As much as I hate to say, its time for "Gun" to go. I am more concerned about the scheme of the Defense than the performance. I actually think the front line is being taught to stand up the lineman and let the backers fill the gaps. At least that would excuse the lack of pass rush. either way, we have a lot of young talent and its time.

The mock draft has us picking the QB from Georgia (3rd overall). Don't remember his name (brain freeze). LJ and his big contract is the BIGGEST bust! I like Charles as a back-up but I want another running back with Priest Holmses ATTITUDE!

D. Johnson may be overrated but he is a shining star compared to the others. We need LB's in a big way. This is not a year to avoid some Free Agents who can provide some leadership to the youth movement. Donovan is not what I'm talking about. We need help on the O Line.

Clark, this is not a time to be bashful with your checkbook on your GM or his team of coaches. We need a new attitude and that may include (gulp!) PAYING Herm to LEAVE town. "you play to win the game" has not served well in 2 seasons. I hope you quote that when you hand him his pink slip

I'm going to ask my mom if she kept the receipt for the jersey. Which Chief jersey should I rock? I like less popular jerseys. I'm thinking Flowers. I played corner in high school, and he was our biggest steal of many draft steals last year.
