I like Laurinaitis and all but it just seems to me that we need a player like a Troy Palamalou or even a Shaun Cody with the Lions. He’s a Jared Allen playing DT. Even a Willie MicGinnest or a Lofa Tatupa. USC breeds defensive captains. I just wish we had Jared Allen.

I’m starting to lean more towards Laurinaitis over Maualuga. I love Maualuga’s attitude and mean streak but I feel that because Laurinaitis comes from a 4-3 system and has both the experience and ability to play all three LB positions that he may be the better fit for our D.

I really like the idea of Sam Bradford, also love the acknowledgment of Terrance Cody (Beast). I wouldn’t mind picking up Ray Maluaga to play MLB. When are we going to find a kicker that isn’t going to let us down. For gods sake we dealt with Louis Aguilar for way to long and Morton Anderson has been the only alright kicker since then. I know a kicker isn’t a qb.

Man you guys are all over the place when it comes to what we should do with our draft picks.

Tank Tyler: In for a penny, in for a pound. We picked the guy up in the 3rd round. That is a substantial pick. We have WAY too many holes in other positions to be tinkering with that one with a 1st rounder. Beat him with a hammer till he works.

Pick another Corner? We have good conerbacks coming out of our ears!

A DE? You guys know what a risky proposition it is to draft a true rushing DE. Its almost as risky as a QB.

A QB. Ok, If Bradford declares, grab him. I’m not letting another Dan Marino slip through our fingers.

Other than that, my draft proposition remains unchanged

Trade down as far as we can to get Malegula ILB. Then Alex Mack C in the 2nd. If we can get Cushing in the 2nd I could be swayed. If we could get a decent trade down we might get both. Deal with the O line right side in the 3rd and 4th. Loadholt, Toupoi, et. all.

Im just wondering if Carl going signals that Herm will go too. Can we PLEASE keep him till after the draft? He is good at that.

Jeremy, You are very correct, all the Star’s stuff this week was awful…I stopped reading Whitlock’s article this week when I scanned down and saw him say that he would question all the picks the last two years simply because D-Bowe dropped the onside kick…it was a freak thing where a guy put a hat on it and knocked it loose…Whitlock infuriates me with his stupidity and Im not letting him win by going back for more every week lol…
