I live in SoCal and go to SD every year for the games now. I've thought about making the trip to Oakland for a game, especially when I still lived up north, but I've never had the balls for it. I dated a girl in Berkeley for a couple years and felt in serious danger anytime I wore Chiefs merchandise there. An old college buddy and I are in year three of the NFL stadium tour, and every year I try and make sure its for a Chiefs game (the first stadium on the tour was Arrowhead for Raiders week in 2006, of course). I told him that the one I might not be able to do is Oakland. I've been to A's games there, but I can't in good conscience go there without being blanketed in red, and I have a tendency to get drunk and be obnoxious sometimes. Maybe we'll meet you in Denver next season. We've been talking about that one for next year anyhow, depending on when the game with the Chiefs is. Chiefs were moving the ball pretty consistently throughout. Take away Thiggy's pick and it's no contest. Even though I would be happy with Pollard at SS long term, the move to OLB is an intriguing one for very the reasons you state. We'll just have to see what unfolds over the offseason. I still maintain we're only 1 or 2 elite players away from being a very good defense - right now the quality and potential we possess is just not showing through but I believe it will soon start to do so.
