Wow I am embarassed to be called a Chiefs fan after these bad tailgate tips...you guys can do waaaay better.

First of all, forget the side dishes. There's this place called Zarda in KC where you should grab some killer BBQ baked beans and slaw pregame on the way to the stadium.

If you have the time, bring a charcoal grill. This is Arrowhead baby and the only way to let people know you're not effing around is billowing smoke.
As for the meat, no one wants to break out the knife and fork standing around in the lot, so if you're gonna go nuts and bring a steak, bring a knife and a cutting board to help out your fellow man with some pre-cut strips.
Sometimes a nice pork tenderloin goes over well, its easy to marinate the night before, then cover it with your favorite rub before slamming that baby on the grill. Also, in a pinch, you can marinate it with a can of sprite and some KC Masterpiece. It will absorb the sugars and give it a nice sweet flavor.
If you've got a good sized grill, sausages and hot dogs will be appreciated and you can always go for the burgers too, but pre-make those patties, no one wants you palming their meat. *snicker*
If it is December, consider making a tent your posse can get into with an open side away from the wind. A below-freezing windchill with no windbreak can make for a miserable tailgate.
Bring trash bags- respect the 'Head.
Cooler tip! Get bottled water and freeze it. Place it in your cooler. If it gets hot, you can take it out and as it melts, you will have cold water to drink. Unlike, ice, it won't "water down" your cooler! The bottles make good ice packs.
Don't forget the TP.
ICE ICE BABY- make sure you have a cooler full of ice bags.
Finally, a long pole with something unique on top like a football and Chiefs pennant so your friends can find you quickly, come eat all your food and drunkenly leave without throwing 5 on it.

Oh, and hotties are good too, as long as they are tough and not needy or you won't get a damn thing done.
