Loved it. Ugly game, but loved it nonetheless. Thiggy gave me a Brett Favre vibe today: bad mechanics, forced some throws, but found a way to move the ball down the field and come out with a W. And a long awaited W it was. GO CHIEFS!!!!!
November 30th, 2008 at 11:44 pmI love the feeling of a win…it was just Oakland and I expected a win but…it still feels good.
The defense looked much more disciplined today, if you take away Thigpens interception that gave them the ball on the 1, then they would have scored only 6-9…that is good news…still can improve and must….The pass rush is ridiculously awful…I need not elaborate, we all know it already…
Offensively I think Thigpen wasn’t as used to their schemes, I dont know…He absolutely would not spread the ball around today (which was fine since I played against Bowe in fantasy.) We are going to have to do much better next week on offense to make it happen again…and I think we will…
Special teams deserves mention too…The Golfer has kicked great…the coverage was solid…Dustin was Dustin again…and they scored, that is always a great thing….
This should help us get in better position for Maualuga.

December 1st, 2008 at 12:35 amRemember the boxing match on Sgt Bilko where both boxers thought they where taking the dive and they went several rounds without hitting each other. Well thats how I felt watching this game. Sure we won, but I feel like I brought a girl home from the bar only to find out she is a second cousin.
On a side note I need to get to more family reunions.
December 1st, 2008 at 12:50 amI think if there’s a game that should help Thiggy gain some confidence its beating a rival like Oakland at home. I was proud, especially since two of my best friends are Oakland fans!
December 1st, 2008 at 2:29 amThat one did feel great. As awful as this season has been at least we found a way to beat both the Donkeys and Faders once.
How could we not win though? Oakland pulled a Plaxico Burress (almost as bad as a Munson)! What the hell were they thinking with the fake FG and early 4th down try?
Sure things in life:
1. Death
2. Taxes
3. Typical Raider stupidity
GO CHIEFS!!!
