Love the Vlog. I understand your ideas way easier than through the conventional bloging method. You are also a pretty funny dude, I think mostly because you aren’t trying to be funny. Anyways, good job and good prespectives. It’s nice to see you eventually hopped on the “get hern outta town wagon.” Great to see Thigpen tearing it up. He looks seriously legit. I said two games ago he reminded me of Gannon at his best, and I think an announcer said something to that effect last game too. I only worry about next year. If herm doesn’t get the boot, I’m concerned he will have learned absolutely nothing from this year and will go back to his run-run-pass for minus yardage ways. Herm with a lead, or a win, or any type of confidence (this includes a 0-0 record)scares me because I think it lets him think that he is doing something right and that they can begin to play the type of football he wants to play. Lets all pray that we just won’t have to deal with him next year. As far as draft talk, I think we definately have to consider an elite linebacker, if we have to move down to justify an LB pick so be it, I just think that is the biggest weakness on the team right now. Our D outside of the LB spot is looking like it has big time potential.

On another topic, check out Bob Gretz’s update for today – the injuries just continue to pile up on defense, and it looks as though Turk McBride and Brian Johnston are done for the year.

I simply cannot agree with you about the 2-point conversion, Adam. I like our chances of making 2 yards when the average NFL play gains over 5 more than I like the 50-50 chance of winning the coin toss and being able to score in overtime.

Like you said, we were very depleted on defense, and allowed the Chargers both of their touchdowns in the second half. I felt better about our offense than our defense at the end.

Now, what I didn’t feel good about was the decision not to go for it on 4th and 2 from our 46 with a little over 5 minutes left, and I hated some of the third down playcalling.

I would like to apologize to Tyler Thigpen for, calling him garbage! I officially jumped onto the Thigpen bandwagon!! He is play smart football by not creating turnovers. He seems very comfortable and confident on the field. and dam hes got cannon!

We should all hope that Herm keeps losing these games and continues to look bad as a coach!! Clark need to see that Herm just isnt a winner and fire him!!! If herm can continue to lose games in the last 2 minute, our wish may come true!

Its never a good sign when your 2 safetys have 8 or 9 tackles each! that just means the other team is completing passes for first down. where the heck was our MLB at? every completion seemed to be right in the middle of the field (wide open).

As the unofficial spokesman for Tyler Thigpen on internet blogs: apology accepted. We understand that it is hard to place faith in an “undersized” seventh-round draft pick from a non D-1 program. He had to prove himself to the fans, and he was going to need a few starts in order to. He got those starts and we got our proof. And being able to see Thigpen in person down in SD was a delight. I went with my old college buddy who is not partial to the Chiefs and he said that he left the game unimpressed with Rivers (weak arm, really weak in person) and very impressed by Thiggy. San Diego looks like a team in decline. And our Chiefs look like a young team ascending.

im sorry man but i have to disagree. Like Herm said in his postgame interview, first, were 1-7 so its not like were playing for a division title or a wildcard or anything. Second, are defense was like you said, depleted. Just my personal opinion i think our d woulndt have been able to stop them from getting in field goal range. Its just one of those things, if we made the 2pointer herm would have been a genius but since we didnt hes an idiot

I say when everything is gone anything goes. I say we have excitement back in Arrowhead so from here on out we play extreme balls to the wall football and set the conservatism aside. If we win, FANTASTIC and play to win we should. But if we lose, we just get better draft picks. One thing we have is excitement and hope right now, something the Lions and Rams do not. Seven points not three! Two points not one!
