Looks like that halfway house stay isn’t going to be an issue at all for Michael Vick as far as his 2009 comeback is concerned. From FOX Sports:
Vick, 28, is set to enter his plea on Nov. 25. Under the terms of his plea deal, he would receive only a suspended sentence and a year of probation. If he is able to resolve the state dogfighting and animal cruelty charges, he would be eligible to transfer to a halfway house for the final six months of his term, according to court papers.
So now we know that if Vick continues to behave and gets the suspended sentence expected from the Commonwealth of Virginia–one-year additional probation, no hard time–that he will be out of the halfway house, and not just prison, late next July as it appears that he will be able to finish his current prison term in the house. For Vick and all of those who want to see him in a Chiefs uni, this is very good news.

come on now, say it with me “NO VICK” we dont need Arrowhead to become a media frenzy for this young team.
As a dog lover, I would not want to see Vick in a Chiefs or any other team uniform.
That being said, were he to become a Chief, I have four season tickets (All on the 40 yd line 2 lower, 2 club) that I will be forfeiting immediately.
Animal abuse issue aside, Vick did not really show himself to be that great of QB imo. Besides, by the time he’s finished paying his debt to society, he’ll be how many years removed from the game? Seriously, why the obsession?
Adam has a vick hard on…with his dupris
Oh, snap!
Two years removed, Double D. Two years. And he was in shape and primed to play last season. Additionally, you can bet your ass he’s going to hire the best trainers available when he gets to that halfway house for six months early in ‘09.
Not that good? WTF? Then answer me this…
If a Chiefs quarterback who was a dynamic runner and above-average passer carried the Red and Gold to the AFC Championship for the first time in 15 years, would we label him not that great?
The real question: With this guy serving his debt to society, why won’t people let down their guard a bit and think about giving him another chance?
Touche, woody!
Vick in a Chiefs uniform? Never happen. Carl would never ever allow it,(and Carl will be here for the 2009 season). He would feel that the impressionalble young Chiefs would not get a proper ‘impression’ by a dog killer. But then that is only my frank opinion.
How freaking sweet would Vick Look in a Chiefs jersey, at home in arrowhead stadium!!! It would instantly bring respect to our offense!!!! He would sellout arrowhead all by himself!!! Im all for it!!
