Adam's Vlog: Huard Out, Gray In

"So you're saying there's a chance?" I really liked Gray after seeing him get a little time in Indy this year. At least he's stable and probably won't get snapped in half. Hope it makes a difference.
Love the ending, btw..."Stay a dick" :)
Is it just me or does anybody else look at Matt Stafford and think there's something seriously wrong with the dude? Like his daddy and granddaddy are the same person or something . . .
Herm does't play to win crap...
And Adam, I think we basically are just very concerned that you might actually be a ghost...so you might show some skin color or the like next vlog...
We have a horrible record with developing drafts at the qb position I have no confidence we can change that. The last draft was the best bunch of young talent in years I dont see that being the case again next year but I wonder what other positions we could look at for the next draft? Losing to get high draft picks? Dont even think about that, you play to win thats one thing I agree with Harm about.
Holla! Yeah, KCM, the tan is starting to fade. Guess that's what happens when you work/live behind a computer...lol. Not to self: actually get some sun this weekend. But, actually, I think the video file came out a little lighter because I am not quite that white and that shirt is a pretty dark orange. I'll have to work on the file quality next go around, which should be soon.
Maybe he did look less like Kerry today, but I've always got something:
Adam, meet the sun. Sun, meet my friend Adam.
Pastel colors don't work for you, by the way, Adam.
Yes, I'm well rounded, and can even give fashion advice. Holla!
As for Quinn Gray, I think he was the best FA available, BUT I don't think we should get to carried away here. There's a reason he was still a FA this late into the season.
Question? Why don't we just go ahead and release Huard? It's not like we have any plans of keeping him around next year. Or maybe I'm just thinking logically, and am forgetting that the Chiefs upper management doesn't apply rules of logic.
I was going to play the Dead's "Touch of Gray" at the front. Damn. Forgot. I'll have to save that for his first start.
Thanks guys and good to hear I looked less like Kerry Collins today!
I dont think there is a Top Flight QB at all in this draft...and if there is it is certainly not Stafford...I think it would be fine if we win a few games, like you said, the top QB will probly be taken if we dont have the no. 1 pick...I say we get the best lineman (O or D) or Maualuga with our top pick and then either come back up for a QB (like Baltimore last season) or wait for one in the 2nd...With that said, I think my preference would actually be to solidify both lines back to respectable or elite before we even worry about a "top flight" qb. QB is the most important position in all sports but if you have an amazing O-Line it can make someone play alot better despite their pedigree...and whatnot...
Good Vlog Adam, you look less Kerry Collins like today...
Top flight QB? Depending on who gets the top spot, Stafford will be gone, if I'm right and Detroit is numero uno. After that, I wouldn't waste a top 10 pick, or even a top 20 pick, for that matter, on any of the other QB's. I'd be happy getting Colt McCoy or someone like that, in the 2nd, or dropping into the 3rd, and nabbing one. I'd rather have a FA QB come in, and Carl has a tendency to do that anyhow, so I think it's more likely. A 2nd/3rd round talent, and a FA QB, along with Gray, can compete for the job. We can finally have an honest to God's actual QB competition (unlike when Green was here) and have legitimate people who can start, and STAY in. Even if it ended up being Gray/rookie/Croyle as our QB's next year, I wouldn't mind it. Croyle is the best 3rd string QB in the league.. He is just only reliable for about 7 minutes of offense. Anyway...
As for Gray.. Think of it this way, at least we can do alot of those bootlegs and such, that we saw in the pre-season, to Cottam and Coxxey, without having to cover our eyes when Croyle gets minutely touched. That alone will make Sundays easier to handle.
winning games is always important if for nothing else for all of the young players that we have. They need to feel that all their hard work is starting to pay off and winning is how that happens.
If you are worried we will have a lower draft pick; we can always trade up if there is someone we really want
i hope gray works out. but winning games will hurt our chances of getting a top flight qb in the draft so i'm really torn.
Adam:
Love the Vlog. I am down with Quinn. I am curious why we didn't look at him before we brought Martin in. Thiggy starting is a joke, but Martin can't seem to beat him out. That concerns me. Don't give me Herm as a reason, Chan runs the offense and is a pretty good coordinator. Dante is not a fit. I think he is shot. I totally agree about Huard. He has been quite brittle and has escaped notice because everyone was dumping on Brodie. The gone for the season bit is probably, as you suggest, a kind way of getting him off the team. I would wager that we were trying to trade Huard to anyone that would give us a pick in return. It is amazing how much we are in agreement at this point. I could also see another vet QB being brought in. Also, I suspect Losman will be a hot topic in the offseason.
