I dont necessarily support Herm kicking a FG when he did…I know his thought process after all the crap he has put us through and it was to just get some points on the board and maybe that would help provide a spark…and you could say it did mildly, on offense anyway…as we did score once again…

The offense is not ENTIRELY to blame by any means…the defense did allow the Titans to score on their first couple possessions…

Oh dave…dont you know DICK CURL is our game manager/giggle inducer…(sarcasm…intended)

The offense is to blame for the defensive statistics.

There are holes in the D, mind you, but it’s a lot easier to see them when the players can’t catch their breath after 3 plays punt, 1 play interception, 2 plays fumble – pick your poison. The D has been fair in the first half of games so far. Not great, but THAT’S to be expected because of how young they are.

We need a coach. A GAME manager.

I think Herm must have wanted to prove that Novak could ACTUALLY make a field goal. After all Herm was the idiot that picked Novak over Barth. For christ sake the guy can’t hit anything. If it is 50 yards or more you can forget about it. Do you know that for his career he is 6/11 from >40 yards? 40 freakin yards! There are college kids that kick better than that and we are paying this guy and his inept leg to play for us. Is barth still unemployed? Maybe he would take us back… yeah right, who am I kidding no one in their right mind would willing join this team on their own free will.
I know this is way down the list on problems with the chiefs, but it sheds light on a bigger issue. Who knows, if he makes a couple field goals like he’s supposed to suddenly its 14 to 6 and it’s a one possession game and our offense gets a little confidence and maybe our defense feels like it’s worth their time to play hard because they don’t have to hold the opposing team to 0 points in order to have a chance to win the game. Instead, the offense and defense get demoralized, because some moron that makes a living kicking a football can’t do the job he was paid for. Let me asked you this, what would happen to me or you if we suddenly decided to start performing at a “chief like level” at our own jobs? So that means as long as 6/10 times, I make the right diagnosis that is acceptable (sorry to you other four but I really was trying my best)! Again, think if for my career so far I’d attempted 30 c-sections and 19 times by george, I got your baby out just fine, but the other eleven, well sorry, what can I say, I tired sorta hard but I messed up and he didn’t make it sorry. Aren’t I awesome though, just under 60% of the time I do the job I’m supposed to and your baby lives, give me a freaking gold star, a million dollars, and pat me on the back. So right now you are probably thinking, god, I hope I am never treated by this guy, (don’t worry I don’t live in KC), I promise though I’m just trying to make a point. I also know football and medicine are different, but my point is that in medicine failure is NOT acceptable and if we fail we have serious consequences. I’m sure just like at everybody else’s job, where you are expect to show up, not be a little b**** and do your job to the best of your ability. Right now, we are observing a Chiefs team where failure seems to be acceptable, like it’s expected and that is a BIG problem. We cannot be a successful football team if our players and coaches are not held accountable for poor performance (and yes that includes the King). See its culture on this football team and it starts from the top. I’m not sure we can be good until Mr. Hunt holds his GM accountable for good decision making, and then the GM holds the coach responsible, and the coach holds his players… this team and everybody associated with it needs to be scared. They are too freakin comfortable with getting their asses kicked.
One last thought and then you should get a beer just for reading this. Sorry it is forever long. Let’s not forget that the defense is out their all the time because the offense is so anemic. I really feel like the problems on defense are exacerbated by our stupid head coach who can’t call a decent game plan to save his life and an awful offense. Page and Pollard might be missing some tackles, but the reality is they are attempting too many tackles. Many of these plays shouldn’t be getting past the d line, and then shouldn’t be getting past the linebackers ect. Just like our defense in general shouldn’t have to be the ones on the field all the time. Again we noticed a jaw-dropping stat like 350 yards in a game, but we often forget that our offense has managed barely 70 points in six games, and thirty some of those were in the Broncos game. That isn’t going to get it done in the NFL these days.
Again I know this echoes the sagacity many of you have already displayed and written about. But man, I feel better than I did when I started! Have a great week guys.

fire herm and let gunther and gailey run their schemes. herm is to blame for both offense and defense. i dont care what the price is for a head coach, we have the money so lets do it. bring in cowher or someone with a winning reputation. i hate to say im giving up on the chiefs, because i used to rag on fair weather fans, but im giving up on the chiefs as long as herm is our coach. i live in florida and pay for sunday ticket just to watch the chiefs and im not wasting another dollar until something is done. FIRE HERM.

Sam Bradford is clearly the player we need to draft in this upcoming draft if he declares. He is in my mind in the best position to start his second year, and I would love to see him declare and put on a Chiefs uniform and bring fans back to AH and give us something to look forward to on Sundays and make us proud of offensive production once again.

Arkansas dave rudaba – thanks for your posts..Coaching does = translation and it doesn’t matter what is going on whoever is in management needs to be blamed for the failures of the organization and congratulated for the successful times. I don’t care if these players are young, Herm is responsible for who is on our squad, what free agents we sign, draft picks, coaching and strategy for each game..Herm deserves a big fat F right now..For god sakes we never used to lose at home and now we completely suck at home..I think some of us have forgotten how far we have sunken..

And to whomever said that Herm has been successful else where (probably double d, cause you have a man crush on Herm, if you want a good motivator maybe you should just watch a Denzel Washington flick) Herm had two decent seasons with the jets where they went to the playoffs..The best he has ever finished is 10-6..Wow two games over mediocrity..If we we’re playing like we’re playing when we had Vermeil we would likely make the playoffs cause our division sucks now (it obviously used to be amazing)..Anyone remember being 10-6 and not making the playoffs? My point is this, if Herm is still here at the end of the season, Clark Hunt has no fucking idea what he’s doing..I’m pulling for this losing streak to continue because I can’t stand this guy as a coach, what a clown
