Adam,

Is LJ dating anyone? I am sure you might have a chance if he isn't! I mean get you head out of his ass and see the light for a change. Does LJ have a right to be pissed about 7 carries? NO. He was getting nowhere. He was not running effectively and unfortunately it is the coaches responsibility to do what it takes to get the team going. Didn't work obviously, so maybe keeping him in to maybe get injured would have satisfied you more?

As for the deactivation. Yes should have been done. However, I do agree if he is doing it because of the assault charge, he should have come out and just said it. That way Emperor Goodell would likely not suspend him too long. I doubt it was for that though. Besides, how many hard working people can miss thier jobs in this country more than once or twice and not get fired or demoted? Not many. So why the hell do you think LJ is above everyone else? If anything he gets paid enough, he should never miss a meeting, practice or baby kissing contest without a valid excuse. It is too detrimental to the team to let him get by with this.

It was said on another site that the only way to make an impact on his behavior and attitude was to do it this way so I say yes it was right.

Meh - honestly, I'm not all that worried about Larry not being on the field. Kolby and Jamaal can at least pretend to pass block, and we can just as easily run one of them up the gut for two yards instead of Larry. Also, if by some miracle we break a run into the open, Kolby or Jamaal will get farther than Larry would.

As for the suspension/deactivation, I agree with it if it was for missing a meeting - you've got to have a good excuse to miss part of your job, and apparently LJ's excuse just wasn't good enough. If it was for the assault, I'm not sure if I agree or not - after all, if the case goes anywhere at all, Emperor Goodell will probably descend with a suspension of his own, which means we'll have punished LJ for the same crime twice.
