AADQ: Which Chase?
ESPN the Mag brought up an interesting question regarding the Mizzou quarterbacks. Which Chase will make the best pro quarterback: Chase Daniel or Chase Patton? Even on the magazine cover, Patton looks six inches taller. He just has the better pro body. But every time I say that someone like This Old Chief boasts that Daniel is the next Drew Brees. After last night, he’s looking more like the next Troy Smith. Meanwhile, Patton could be another Matt Cassell. I’m not sold on him, but he’s definitely better equipped to have some success in the pros.
Which Chase will be the better pro QB?

I would like to take the time to admit that I was wrong about Ryan. We should have taken him.
October 12th, 2008 at 10:38 pmAs the original Matt Ryan bandwagon driver, I gladly welcome you aboard! There’s still room, folks.
October 12th, 2008 at 10:59 pmYeah, I agree about Ryan – he looks to be something special. I personally was okay with taking him if he fell to us which, as we all know, he did not. I also think it’s only fair to point out to all you Herm haters that he was the one coach who went on record to say he was extremely impressed with Ryan going into the draft.
October 13th, 2008 at 10:10 amAS long as everyone is going to fess up, I too was wrong about Ryan. He showed me yesterday what I have yet to see from BC. Hat tip to Adam.
October 13th, 2008 at 3:27 pmThanks, remwhen. The kid just has “it,” you know the thing that inspires the rest of his teammates to follow him into the gates of hell and believe they’ll come out alive. I will admit that even I’m shocked at how quickly he’s picking things up.
After seeing what Dmitroff’s done in the ATL, should we go after Pioli and Josh McDaniel to right our ship? Seeing what Zorn has done with Campbell, McD might be the guy to harvest our next QB. And I hear both are eager to escape Belicheat’s shadow. This might be the next AADQ.
Also, we had the picks to move up and get Ryan, even if we still wanted Dorsey, too. Might have cost us an arm and a leg, but we could have done it.
