They are pathetic offensively, averaging just 2.81 yards on first down. That’s by far the worst average in the league, more than a half-yard worse than the next lowest team, Cleveland.

Actually the Chiefs pass plenty on first down – 66 rushing plays to 57 passing plays on first down. And on those 1st downs they average 4.06 yards per rush compared to 1.57 yards per pass attempt.

And running a play action bomb would most likely be fruitless considering no one is scared of our rushing attack. Or our passing attack.

Oh and I do believe Jamal Charles could be a dominant rusher in this league..The guy is good and he complements Larry great..What about that 30 million dollars we could be spending on some decent free agents? I guess Herm didn’t feel like we needed them…Funny how he made the same mistake the year before that…Do we still believe he knows how to evaluate players?

haha I still wear that Rodman Jersey around..Herm won’t be fired this year, Eric is right..Too bad..Can we get a coach that has knowledge and cares about both sides of the ball? Vermeil was an incredible offensive coach and it surely showed but the defense blew..Herm well he doesn’t seem to grasp anything at this point..

I’d take Lane Kiffin over Herm anyday..I can’t stand to hear Herm talk without passion after a loss like that..I believe he cares but I don’t believe he cares as much as he should..Uppermanagement or Clark Hunt has assured him he’s got the job atleast til 2009..I believe inless we finish with 2 or 3 wins Herm will be back..In fact it may be 1-2 wins..But anything More than that and Herm will be back..I don’t hate Carl Peterson but I’m soo pissed at him for picking up Herm Edwards..Was this really the best you could do? All of the Jets fans that I meet are soo happy they don’t have Herm anymore..I’ve never met a jets fan that liked him..Sorry double d

I’ll lay $20 bucks that Herm won’t be fired. If he was worried about getting fired, he wouldn’t have played Thiggy Smalls in ATL…and he would have given a shit in that press conference after that debacle Sunday.

I really didn’t think that Taylor did that bad. On the other hand, I didn’t think Page did that well. He takes HORRIBLE angles. I agreed on everything else though. Good post though, Adam.

Ok two questions that I would love to hear positive, encouraging answers too.

1. Name a team that undertook a similar rebuilding program and went to the Superbowl or at least multiple post season appearences.

2. Name a team who fired their coach mid-season and saw an immediate dramatic improvement.

We have to throw to establish the run. Throw the ball and put them on their heels. If you want to see if Brodie is our future gunslinger then let him throw it early, not when we are out of it.

What do you have to lose. At this point you are guaranteed to be fired.
