I think our line needs to look like this and we would be a lot better

Albert-Waters-Niswanger-Richardson-Taylor

If they gave these guys a chance to "GEL" we may already have our answer.

Great post. You're completely right about the O-line. Same reason the Raiders haven't been able to get their act together, no matter what kind of offensive weapons they throw in there. Gotta have solid guys up front, or you're going nowhere.

"Unfortunately, we can’t really evaluate any QB accurately with such miserable line play." Gee, where I have heard that before?

Fact - the players of both red teams played like shit. So, the "good" coach says it was all his fault and the "bad" coach says he has work to do. Hmmm.

A football team begins and ends with the O-line. They can make a average QB and RB look great by opening holes and providing time in the pocket.ie Trent Green. They can control the ball and help keep their own teams defense off the field and fresh by not going 3 and out every possession. Until our O-line gets it together we may as well throw Thigpen out there because everyone is a sacrificial lamb back there.

It really seems to hurt Herm and the players when they lose but I have been very unpleasantly surprised at their reactions to the press after the game, a very widespread lack of taking responsibility. Bowe says he played ok, Larry says these kind of games happen, Tony complains he didnt get to break the record in Arrowhead, Herm says he has to watch the film to tell us what occurred. Good post Old Chief.
