I think that we should change the Vick-Cowher campaign to the Schottenheimer- Cowher Campaign. I know Vick would be better than what we have now, but I wouldnt count on the Chiefs picking up Michael Vick. Actually I HIGHLY doubt it.

But How amazing would it be to have Marty as our GM and Cowher as our Head Coach. Now THATS something to campaign for.

xxxlp, this whole post was pretty tongue in cheek. Lots of people have this idea, so...we just like poking fun at Whitlock. But at the same time, I'm pretty sure he heard about the whole Cowher-Vick thing, but maybe not?

Jason, Zach's the coach, not me. I'm trying to be the hatchet man, not the replacement.

ArowhedKC, not sure that's a good thing :)

Word. Thanks xxxlp.

I keep hearing that trade rumor but with verification.

re: Vick - Would bringing him in as a gadget-play guy be worth the PR hit? And isn't he under contract with the Falcons? I thought they had him on the non football related/reserve list or whatever its called.

I wouldn't mind seeing Vick as a Chief.. as a WR, or an H-Back in the backfield. We could involve him in all kinds of things. If we had to.. Damon (or whoever would be starting at that point, I'm just naming our current starter) could throw a pitch/toss to him, and Vick could then run or throw it if someone is open. That'd scare alot of coordinators. He IS feared by DC's, (and dogs,) but just not namely for his passing ability. If we could utilize his YAC/scrambling ability, and still not make him a starting QB, I could see that working out. As soon as we name him a starting QB (which I see as ridiculous) tons of fans will revolt. We'd also have PETA all over our asses. That's lame. I haven't been to a Chiefs game thus far, but if I do go to one soon (hopefully,) I don't want to hear PETA outside chanting for Vick to be released, etc etc.

Clyde, if memory serves, he said it on NFL Total Access. It could be the wrong show, but I know he said it on the NFL Network (pretty much all I watch, with only a few exceptions.) It's been awhile though. I doubt anyone has a link to a video showing him saying it, but it may be dug out of the vaults after a bit, if our team tanks the rest of this season, NFL Network will be playing Cowher saying something, and building up hype, 'Oh, where is he going? To the lowly Chiefs? Or to another team that could possibly contend? Stay tuned to find out.' type of thing. Like I said, it's been awhile, but I distinctly remember hearing it, because I thought at the time, hmm.. that wouldn't be so bad, and I even brought up the 3-4 in a post that was posted aaaaaaages ago.

re: Cowher to KC

Can one person provide a link for the Cowher to KC rumors? I've heard the rumors that the fans have generated (haha, and not AA, Adam, but nice try :) ) over the past two years and have still been unable for anyone to provide a link that clearly shows Cowher saying he wouldn't mind coming back to KC to coach.

Woody, do you have a link to confirm the "Cleveland, KC" rumors?

re: Michael Vick - Simply put, Michael Vick is not a good NFL quarterback. He would be an absolute disaster in Kansas City.

Adam, the guy as a QB wasn't good in any respects when he was on the field. He's never completed close to 60% of his passes, never hit 3,000 yards but led the league in fumbles on a regular basis. Maybe we aren't seeing the same thing? And that's before he was out of football for 2 years. Plus, Goodell could keep him out even longer. Do you honestly believe that Vick would be a good fit here? (emphasize the word honestly).

Thanks fellows...but dont hold me to that graduating thing, I BELIEVE that to be true...and I have heard it somewhere...maybe we should get Peter King on this...he is always good...haha

xxxlp thanks for confirming some of my stuff, i felt a little corroborated thurr...

The ONLY down side I see in it is the switch the the 3-4, which, ideally would be a pretty seamless deal, but I think realistically it might take a bit...

What do you think he would do with Tamba? Too small for a 3-4 end, too slow for an OLB...
