My first concern would be with how he handles pressure and getting knocked down a few times. He frankly hasn’t had to worry about either at Mizzou. His height is the other concern. Of course things can change a lot between now and April but as of now I’d be very surprised if Daniel ended up being picked before the 4th round. That said, if Mizzou can somehow win a national title this year, I’m sure a lot of pro teams will take a harder look at him.

This is why i said to bring in a vet and let him learn..you can say the same about most QB's..great ones will adapt, and i feel he has potential to adapt -good decision making skills and he can run a bit and throw on the run

Im really just tired of things not working out- take a chance..Daniel is as good as any Qb in the draft if not better...can we really get any worse?

DD you really think he wont make it?

Epic, I think Daniel is great and all for where he is and what he's asked to do but what leads you to believe that he has what to takes to make the adjustment from running a spread offense to running a pro offense?

There is a reason why these other QB's are not starting anymore..

Chase Daniel is my pick..fire Herm, drop Thiggy/Martin..bring in a seasoned vet to teach Chase (and Croyle) some things and get this thing rolling-hes got skill, seems intelligent and is eager to get better

Why does everyone want Vick? We already have people that can run the ball.We need an NFL qb, thats one of the main reasons that people don't believe Tebow will make it in the pros, and he is a much better quarterback than Vick. I also wouldnt want to trade a draft pick for someone like Losman. You said his td to int. ratio was 36/34, well thats funny Brodies is 6/8. Doesnt seem like we are getting much better.

What about trading a late round draft pick for Losman this year, cutting Thigpen, and ride out the year. Then next year draft the USC mlb, REY REY, with our first pick and grab Painter out of Purdue with our second round pick. BTW, Why did we pick up a QB from the VIKINGS, THE VIKINGS and try to make him our starter.

I'm sure even if both Boldin and Housh hit the open market, we wouldn't pick them up, we're trying to set a record for most cap room.

Good point on Boldin, xxxlp, I've had my sights on him too. Except there's one proble: If Herm is still here next season, why would we invest so much in a receiver when Herm doesn't believe the forward pass has any place in the NFL, thats Arena League shit.

Cballer, I doubt we get Oher that early in the draft. For one, he would NOT replace Albert as LT on our line. Albert has looked solid, and it's his rookie year, he's going to be just fine. We're not gonna grab Oher with a top 5 pick, pay him all that money that LT's make (you know he's going to demand it) and then stick him at RT. It just ain't gonna happen, jack. I like Oher, much more so than Boone, but we just aren't going to get him (imo) because things won't work out like we'd want.

aCal, I thought Crabtree was a sophomore? Maybe he won't try for the draft this year. Although he should, because his rookie year alone was phenommmmmmenal. I would definetly like him on our team, but faced with Crabtree versus Maualuga... I'd take the MLB. Our D is only a few pieces away from being top 10 year in and year out. Our O needs work all over the place, and we've survived for YEARS without a top-of-the-line WR. I think we can do it one more year. Best case scenario, we get Maualuga this year, Crabtree declares next year, and we get him as well ^.^

And remember guys, 85% of the guys who will be free-agents next year, will get resigned at some point during this season, or definetly in the off-season, just as we get excited we might be able to pick them up. TJ is a good example. They definetly aren't letting him go, he'll get resigned, one way or another. One guy we should just throw buckets and buckets of cash at, is Anquan Boldin.. The man wants PAID, son! And guess what, Addicts... We have the money. He's been on some pretty bad Cardinal teams, thus far in his career, I don't think he'd mind coming to KC as much as people would think, especially if we throw him 10-11m a year, for a 4 year contract or so. Pricey.. but worth it. We'd instantly get twice as much production out of the QB's. Assuming he can hit him with the ball. That'd also free up the running game like a mofo. Ahhh, the possibilities.

Loads of cap room + unrestricted free agent TJ Housh + at least average QB + line upgrades = a greatly improved offense. Which with terrible management, would not happen
