The Bills would rather take like a fourth- or fifth-rounder than be stuck with nada. Trent Edwards is their guy. Meanwhile, we'd have a legitimate prospect on our roster and a leg up on signing him if he worked out. If we didn't see enough to warrant keeping him, then we'd let him go. We wouldn't have to splurge on a high-draft pick or even a decent contract on him, that is unless he played his way to a payday. Make sense?
