Oh Yea,

When we were on the 5 yard line again NE (end of game), I believe Larry would have scored. That close to the end zone the "old Larry" would have come out and he would have blown through or over the defense.

Adam,

What about:

YOUR COMMENT: Larry is a 20-30 carry feature back who gets stronger as the game goes on, as he gets into a rhythm and beats down defenses. You see how Marion Barber runs late in games. L.J. used to do that, too, but he can’t now. Why? Because we haven’t had a freakin’ lead since Week 14 of last year.
QUESTION: So you are saying that Larry won't be any good unless he has up to 20 warm up runs? What NFL team can afford to let a running back do this? If he can't perform out of the gates, he's not worth the $$$ he's getting

YOUR COMMENT: Remember what he did when we had a lead in the Chicago preseason game?
QUESTION: You mean the 8 attempts for a total of 18 yards (long run of 7 yards leaving 11 for the other seven attempts). Averaged 2.3 yards per carry. Is that what the major bucks are paying for?

YOUR COMMENT: Let’s be honest here, if you’re calling for Larry’s head, then you just don’t like him. That doesn’t bug me, just have the stones to come out and say it.
QUESTION: I personally have never met Larry so I don't know why I would not like "the man." However, I do know that the Chiefs organization had to pour a truckload of money in his lap to get him to stop whining. Oh yea, the "stones" comment...rolling eyes....

YOUR COMMENT: This is not his fault at all, and I would worry more if he didn’t bitch.
QUESTION: If I didn't earn my money at my job because others I work with were not doing their job to perfection (okay, I admit, they would have to improve to get to sub-standard), it would not excuse me from busting my butt to do the best I can for the team. Larry was coined a "leader" over the off-season. I'm not seeing it at all. I would love nothing more than to see the Larry that ran all over the Oakland and Denver defenses on 06. And, if he still has it in him, he's being paid more than enough to let it show.

YOUR COMMENT: Like his mom said, Larry loves football and wants to earn his paycheck. How about we let him?
QUESTION: Twelve attempts aren’t enough? I wish I could try to succeed at my job 12 times and not have to answer for 11 failures (he did have one great run against NE and a decent 7 yarder against Oakland).

Don't get me wrong, I love watching Larry when he tries to "make the play" instead of "run the play." But right now he's only going through the motions of being a running back. I appreciate and respect your loyalty to him, but you may not be seeing the Larry of today through your visions/memories of the Larry from 05 and 06 (Cinci in 05...WOW!). Like I read in one of the replies to this post (talking about owing TG a chance to go to a contender), this is a business where the players are bought and sold like livestock. Larry was purchased for a huge price and if he doesn't step up to what he agreed to when he took the money, maybe it's time to give someone else a chance. Look at Larry's leg work, his head position and his effort after contact. It's not the same Larry we bought.

Thanks for your great posts and keep them coming. I do hope that Larry proves me wrong and takes the ball and runs it straight up the Falcon's...well, you know.

Mike Vick is currently making twelve cents per hour at Leavenworth. Perhaps if he could maintain the same rate of pay.............just kidding! I don't want Mr. Vick playing for my Chiefs. Not now, not ever. Bill Cowher is a different situation. I would love to see Bill's jutting jaw and furrowed brow pacing the sidelines in K.C. red! Just imagine, a real coach again. Makes my blood boil.

Oh...and another gameday note or two from my experience at the game this week...I actually went right into the stadium at 1045ish and first thing when I got in was went down to the bench tunnel and DJ signed my jersey, it was sweet...Also went down at the end of the game...Albert and a few other youngens threw gloves to fans (the veterans all went in pissed) and Dorsey actually gave his mouthpiece to a kid in front of me...it was pretty gross...but...I would have taken it if the kid didnt...

xxxlp...Sorry, I meant to put I was being oddly picky about the designation of the fairly exotic D...But that Ryan thing was funny, did anyone else see it?

I do that also, typically sundays i am so tense and on edge about the game that I dont watch individual positions but I will DVR and watch each play, sometimes a number of times...

my problem is that the way we are playing right now I am so pissed off about the way we have played that I can't bring myself to watch it til midweek when I have recovered...

That leads me to this....How would you all evaluate Phat Albert in Week 2? I was there and noticed him struggling at one point in the game, he was slightly limpy and seemed gassed...how did he look throughout the game?

Adam and xxxlp. I do the same things... On Sunday me and the ol' lady were watching the game and I was going pack during the commercials and watching the O-Line. Watching McIntosh getting raped. And my girlfriend was like, "what are you doing??" So I had to explain to her they way an Offensive line is SUPPOSED to work as oppose to what we were watching on Sunday.
I was watching who missed their assignments, where guys shouldve been and where they shouldnt have been (Brandon Carr vs Donnie Edwards)

I was watching LJ and could see that there was no where to go for him.

But it IS almost like being a Coach. But not really... I like to think of it as being MORE than a fan.

I would like to see how Herb would work out at our RT spot. But as far as our RG, as high as McIntosh is on my shit list right now, I would big his big ass at RG.
But its just dumb for Herm to cry out for youth and he's got a young guy like Herb ready and willing to play at wherever Edwards wants him.
