I dont even know what to say. As a fan I am disgusted and appalled by the play of the chiefs. I am in Iraq right now and have not seen a game yet other than the ones AFN plays and it is definately not the chiefs. As I watched the scoreboard and saw us down 9-0 I went to bed and then saw the score in the morning and immediately got sick. I for one want CP and Herm gone. Clark has got to be fuming right now!

WHere's that crowd that thought we were going 11-5...hmm that's a mystery as Tommy Boy would say.

Herm is horrible.

Brodie is a non-factor.

Now we are losing LJ.

Like the financial crisis, this is going to get worse before it gets better. If we even have money to get from the bank next week.

I agree with centaur27. I'm tired of seeing our truly talented players lose because of the lack of play by others and poor coaching. This offense is so dismal and boring to watch. Dick V. took average offensive players and made them look great! Why can't Herm do it? I love the CHIEFS, but I gave up my season tickets the second year of Hermball. There appeared to be a lot of empty seats yesterday. This has gotten to be too much and how much longer will Clark Hunt buy into Hermanisms?

It's not the fact that we're bad that is angering us, it's the fact that we should be so much better, we're just not utilizing guys like they should be used, we're not doing simple things that should be easy, we're not playing quarterbacks that have any shot of being a real NFL quarterback, etc etc. It doesn't mean we're not real fans, by any stretch of the imagination. And seriously, Adrian Jones may not be as bad as I've made him out to be, but Herb Taylor has got to start playing soon. He earned his bones at LT during last season and this pre-season. RG/RT spots are a helluva lot easier to play than LT. He's definetly got more upside, seeing as how those guys have been playing for years and years, and he's a second year guy. We made this mistake with Turley, and Welbourne, and we're doing the same thing again. It's bad judgement. We're rebuilding, and have decent young talent, so let's sit it behind 9-10 year veterans who are on the downside of their careers, and were never great to begin with. Yeehaw. I'm starting to be drawn towards the Fire Herm! crowd.

There are a lot of things I'm frustrated about after yesterday's debacle. Circus. freak show. Whatever you want to call it. I've finally bottomed out. I'm tired of the play-not-to-lose philosophy. I keep saying this, but Chan actually showed more reasonable play-calling in preseason than he has in two weeks of games that matter. And the fact that apparently the Chiefs are phasing LJ out, well ... that's just ridiculous. I have tickets to the Tampa Bay game, but at this point, it feels like it's a burden to go, instead of a joy ... we'll see.

Well, just for the sake of it; which of us (Raiders and Chiefs) have gone to the Super Bowl in the last 10 years? How about 35 years? They've utilized better than us, even though they're on a current slump. We've had a few good teams, but they were too unbalanced. Just like Indy, who couldn't win with only a super-charged offense, once their offense slowed down a bit, and their D stepped up, they had a championship to show for it. We've had great defenses and great offenses, but never at the same time as a competent offense or defense, respectively. We're going balanced, but it wasn't going to happen overnight. However, if our offense looks like crap, like it has, I can't see a balanced anything. I see our D getting dominated late in games, from being on the field too long. I see our offense looking like crap, Tony G. retiring in humiliation, D-Bowe and LJ demanding trades, and everything to fall apart. Ball control offense? We don't HAVE an offense. At least not with Thigpen out there. We should just send Colquitt out there and punt it directly back to the other team. Or I'd be cool with kneeling it 3 times and then a punt. It'd save us some time, and embarassment, while we waiting for Thigpen to make a play. *HA!*

You guys keep giving Herm the credit of being able to draft real talent.... And while I agree with you all, I STILL think he should be booted (AS THE HEAD COACH!). Stick him in there as a talent scout for the Kansas City Chiefs. Because how much sense does that make? Thats like being able to recognize great cars, buying them and then driving them like shit and crashing each one of them. Again he can be a talent scout with a great deal of validity. But its scary to think that we're anything like the Oakland Raiders... Great players... Horrible plays... No wins.

Oakland had players like Randy Moss, Warren Sapp, Dominique Rhodes, and Dante Cullpepper And they couldnt do shit. On the other hand... We have players like Larry Johnson, Tony Gonzalez, Dwayne Bowe, Donnie Edwards, and Glenn Dorsey And cant do shit....

When Raider fans told me "Oh yeah!! We're signing Javon Walker!", "Hell yeah , We got D.Hall!!" or "RUN DMC BABY!!" I would shrug it off, cause I knew that the Raiders NEVER utilize their players. They could never bring out the best in them (Ask Randy Moss).... But Is IT SO? Does it seem like WE are the same???????

>>Herm, on the other hand, might not be the best X and O’s coach, but he is a wizard at drafting real talent<<

Which is why we should put him back in Bill's office where he started with the Chiefs 15 or so years ago and get ourselves a real coach. We shouldn't play to win the time of possession battle, we should play to win the game. I agree we have three different coaches with three different philosophies and one is screwing up the other two. Maybe (ugh) Solari wasn't so bad after all.
