Stray Arrows: Dolphins Cut Boomer Grigsby

by Breaking News

From Phin Phanatic:

The Miami Dolphins today waived FB Boomer Grigsby who beat out Reagan Mauia for a spot on the roster.  He held that spot for one week before being relegated to the unemployment line.  The Dolphins have told him they plan to use their TE’s more instead of a FB.  The news though is odd considering that the report from scout.com also says that Miami will bring in Casey Cramer, a 6-2 250 pound fullback to take his place.  That leads me to believe that the Phins just were not all that happy with Grigsby’s play.

Bye, bye, Boomer. This supports the theory that one of the Chiefs’ all-time greatest novelty acts just wasn’t cut out to be a fullback. He might just not be cut out for the NFL. Hey, after Hard Knocks there is always Reality TV. He still could land somewhere as well.

Quarterback Ingle Martin on Tuesday agreed to terms with the Kansas City Chiefs after the team offered him a spot on the their 53-man roster.

The Titans had a chance to promote Martin from their practice squad to the 53-man roster to keep him, but opted not to. Martin starred locally at Montgomery Bell Academy and spent all of last season on the team’s practice squad

I think boomer could make a great sports DJ color commentary in a show.
