And actually, I got it wrong, and gave even more credit to DVD than he deserved. This is according to Wiki:

Professional career

Baltimore Ravens
Darling has 20 catches for 331 yards and three touchdowns in his career. He had a breakout game on Nov. 18, 2007 against the Cleveland Browns with 4 catches for 107 yards and his first NFL touchdown.

100+ yards is nice. 20 catches in 4 years is not so nice. I don't much care for one-game wonders. Kolby Smith had one 100+ yard game last year, and I don't want him as a starter... DVD has one 100+ yard game against arguably the worst defence in the league last year, and it constitutes nearly 1/3 of his stats? Weak.

Cryman, excuse me, Bryman, said: "Don’t mention previous years with me, and don’t mention preseason number to me, it’s not gonna win you any arguments."

Then tell me, my liege, what shall we talketh about in the land of Bryville? We can't bring up the MEANINGFUL REGULAR SEASON/POST SEASON GAMES, that players have previously played in, and we can't bring up the meaningless, 'glorified practices' that are pre-season games.. If regular season counts for that much, cupcake, then why can't we allude to those previous seasons? They don't matter? I beg to differ. Previous seasons earn some over-the-hill players, or highly touted free-agents millions and millions of dollars each year. It IS about how you've played over your whole career. He's 27. He's got less than 100 catches. Significantly less. IN MEANINGFUL GAMES!.. to use your words. 28 catches.. 4 years.. can you do math Bryman? those were meaningful games, buckaroo. You said it yourself, pre-season doesn't matter, it's the season that counts. And guess what, in his seasons, which counted, he couldn't crack the starting lineup, he couldn't haul in an average of a measly 10 freakin' receptions a season, and he hasn't shown us squat here.

And tell me, Bryman, how pre-season games aren't important again? Oh that's right, they don't let coaches and personnell units evaluate young and upcoming talent, right? God, why would I think of such an absurd idea? They wouldn't let us see a guy like Price, who has excelled with his only given shot so far.. That'd be ridiculous.

DVD held a downfield block that got Kolby into paydirt. That's a lot more than I can say for Mr. Awesome (you guys remember that disgraceful attempt at a downfield block against Miami?) and his two preseason catches (including a couple of drops on easy to moderately challanging passes).

I'll be the first to bag on him if he doesn't get it done during the season, but ripping on a receiver for not making catches during the preseason is ridiculous. He can't throw the ball to himself. I never said he didn't have anything to prove, I said he doesn't have anything to prove to any of us during the preseason. "Any of us," meaning fans, if the coaches like what they see, and don't want to work him a lot in preseason, then I'll put at least a little faith in that until the games matter, we can't call the guy a bust based on tune up games. You say that the preseason doesn't mean a thing, then you talk up Price like he's the answer at #2, based on preseason numbers. So does it matter, or does it not matter? I have two points, one that I have to make again, since you argued against yourself in your last post, preseason stats don't matter, not one bit at all, it's a glorified practice, my second point is that the players past doesn't matter to me at all, I've seen plenty of guys given the benefit of the doubt based on good past performance, and guys ripped on, because they didn't cut it before, and it can go either way. Don't mention previous years with me, and don't mention preseason number to me, it's not gonna win you any arguments.
