Well, let’s not get too carried away now. Having Freeman doesn’t mean the cats will amount to anything but he might allow them to sneak up on a team or two. By the way, I read where the “sheep lot” will be closed this season. So where does that leave you guys as far as post-game entertainment is concerned?

Hopefully, he is the real deal for us this year. I love hearing that from a Beaker, though! Mizzou fans, like my dad, talk up Daniel, but in the pros–when his short, stocky ass isn’t going Shotgun every play–he’ll be worthless. The spread offense just doesn’t translate to the pros. I actually think Freeman might be part of a dying breed–the prototypical pro QB. We will see.

Run DMC and the Raiders don’t scare me because of where they are as much as they do because of where we are. Our LBs absolutely have to improve in order to counteract Run DMC. That said, we’re building a defense predicated on speed, so we should be able to neutralize that kind of threat in the future. But if Miami is any indication of how this starting group is going to play, we’re in for a tough season.
